17And Pharaoh spake unto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stood upon the brink of the river:
18and, behold, there came up out of the river seven kine, fat-fleshed and well-favored: and they fed in the reed-grass:
19and, behold, seven other kine came up after them, poor and very ill-favored and lean-fleshed, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for badness:
20and the lean and ill-favored kine did eat up the first seven fat kine:
21and when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they were still ill-favored, as at the beginning. So I awoke.
22And I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears came up upon one stalk, full and good:
23and, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, `and' blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them:
24and the thin ears swallowed up the seven good ears: and I told it unto the magicians; but there was none that could declare it to me.
25And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: what God is about to do he hath declared unto Pharaoh.
26The seven good kine are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years: the dream is one.
27And the seven lean and ill-favored kine that came up after them are seven years, and also the seven empty ears blasted with the east wind; they shall be seven years of famine.
28That is the thing which I spake unto Pharaoh: what God is about to do he hath showed unto Pharaoh.
29Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt:
30and there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land;
31and the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine which followeth; for it shall be very grievous.
32And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh, it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.
33Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.
34Let Pharaoh do `this', and let him appoint overseers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years.
35And let them gather all the food of these good years that come, and lay up grain under the hand of Pharaoh for food in the cities, and let them keep it.
36And the food shall be for a store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine.
17바로가 요셉에게 이르되 내가 꿈에 나일 강 가에 서서
18보니 살지고 아름다운 일곱 암소가 나일 강 가에 올라와 갈밭에서 뜯어먹고
19그 뒤에 또 약하고 심히 흉하고 파리한 일곱 암소가 올라오니 그 같이 흉한 것들은 애굽 땅에서 내가 아직 보지 못한 것이라
20그 파리하고 흉한 소가 처음의 일곱 살진 소를 먹었으며
21먹었으나 먹은 듯 하지 아니하고 여전히 흉하더라 내가 곧 깨었다가
22다시 꿈에 보니 한 줄기에 무성하고 충실한 일곱 이삭이 나오고
23그 후에 또 가늘고 동풍에 마른 일곱 이삭이 나더니
24그 가는 이삭이 좋은 일곱 이삭을 삼키더라 내가 그 꿈을 점술가에게 말하였으나 그것을 내게 풀이해 주는 자가 없느니라
25요셉이 바로에게 아뢰되 바로의 꿈은 하나라 하나님이 그가 하실 일을 바로에게 보이심이니이다
26일곱 좋은 암소는 일곱 해요 일곱 좋은 이삭도 일곱 해니 그 꿈은 하나라
27그 후에 올라온 파리하고 흉한 일곱 소는 칠 년이요 동풍에 말라 속이 빈 일곱 이삭도 일곱 해 흉년이니
28내가 바로에게 이르기를 하나님이 그가 하실 일을 바로에게 보이신다 함이 이것이라
29온 애굽 땅에 일곱 해 큰 풍년이 있겠고
30후에 일곱 해 흉년이 들므로 애굽 땅에 있던 풍년을 다 잊어버리게 되고 이 땅이 그 기근으로 망하리니
31후에 든 그 흉년이 너무 심하므로 이전 풍년을 이 땅에서 기억하지 못하게 되리이다
32바로께서 꿈을 두 번 겹쳐 꾸신 것은 하나님이 이 일을 정하셨음이라 하나님이 속히 행하시리니
33이제 바로께서는 명철하고 지혜 있는 사람을 택하여 애굽 땅을 다스리게 하시고
34바로께서는 또 이같이 행하사 나라 안에 감독관들을 두어 그 일곱 해 풍년에 애굽 땅의 오분의 일을 거두되
35그들로 장차 올 풍년의 모든 곡물을 거두고 그 곡물을 바로의 손에 돌려 양식을 위하여 각 성읍에 쌓아 두게 하소서
36이와 같이 그 곡물을 이 땅에 저장하여 애굽 땅에 임할 일곱 해 흉년에 대비하시면 땅이 이 흉년으로 말미암아 망하지 아니하리이다
In a world that constantly demands more — more productivity, more achievement, more anxiety — Psalm 23 speaks a radical word of rest. The shepherd does not drive the sheep; he leads them. There is a profound difference between a God who demands and a God who guides. Today, where do you need to let the Shepherd lead you into rest?

Lord, help me to trust you as my shepherd today. In the places where I feel lack, remind me of your abundance. In the moments of striving, call me back to rest in you. Amen.

잠언 29장
1He that being often reproved hardeneth his neck Shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.
2When the righteous are increased, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man beareth rule, the people sigh.
3Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father; But he that keepeth company with harlots wasteth `his' substance.
4The king by justice establisheth the land; But he that exacteth gifts overthroweth it.
5A man that flattereth his neighbor Spreadeth a net for his steps.
6In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare; But the righteous doth sing and rejoice.
7The righteous taketh knowledge of the cause of the poor; The wicked hath not understanding to know `it'.
8Scoffers set a city in a flame; But wise men turn away wrath.
9If a wise man hath a controversy with a foolish man, Whether he be angry or laugh, there will be no rest.
10The bloodthirsty hate him that is perfect; And as for the upright, they seek his life.
11A fool uttereth all his anger; But a wise man keepeth it back and stilleth it.
12If a ruler hearkeneth to falsehood, All his servants are wicked.
13The poor man and the oppressor meet together; Jehovah lighteneth the eyes of them both.
14The king that faithfully judgeth the poor, His throne shall be established for ever.
15The rod and reproof give wisdom; But a child left to himself causeth shame to his mother.
16When the wicked are increased, transgression increaseth; But the righteous shall look upon their fall.
17Correct thy son, and he will give thee rest; Yea, he will give delight unto thy soul.
18Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint; But he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
19A servant will not be corrected by words; For though he understand, he will not give heed.
20Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? There is more hope of a fool than of him.
21He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child Shall have him become a son at the last.
22An angry man stirreth up strife, And a wrathful man aboundeth in transgression.
23A man's pride shall bring him low; But he that is of a lowly spirit shall obtain honor.
24Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul; He heareth the adjuration and uttereth nothing.
25The fear of man bringeth a snare; But whoso putteth his trust in Jehovah shall be safe.
26Many seek the ruler's favor; But a man's judgment `cometh' from Jehovah.
27An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous; And he that is upright in the way is an abomination to the wicked.
1자주 책망을 받으면서도 목이 곧은 사람은 갑자기 패망을 당하고 피하지 못하리라
2의인이 많아지면 백성이 즐거워하고 악인이 권세를 잡으면 백성이 탄식하느니라
3지혜를 사모하는 자는 아비를 즐겁게 하여도 창기와 사귀는 자는 재물을 잃느니라
4왕은 정의로 나라를 견고하게 하나 뇌물을 억지로 내게 하는 자는 나라를 멸망시키느니라
5이웃에게 아첨하는 것은 그의 발 앞에 그물을 치는 것이니라
6악인이 범죄하는 것은 스스로 올무가 되게 하는 것이나 의인은 노래하고 기뻐하느니라
7의인은 가난한 자의 사정을 알아 주나 악인은 알아 줄 지식이 없느니라
8거만한 자는 성읍을 요란하게 하여도 슬기로운 자는 노를 그치게 하느니라
9지혜로운 자와 미련한 자가 다투면 지혜로운 자가 노하든지 웃든지 그 다툼은 그침이 없느니라
10피 흘리기를 좋아하는 자는 온전한 자를 미워하고 정직한 자의 생명을 찾느니라
11어리석은 자는 자기의 노를 다 드러내어도 지혜로운 자는 그것을 억제하느니라
12관원이 거짓말을 들으면 그의 하인들은 다 악하게 되느니라
13가난한 자와 포학한 자가 섞여 살거니와 여호와께서는 그 모두의 눈에 빛을 주시느니라
14왕이 가난한 자를 성실히 신원하면 그의 왕위가 영원히 견고하리라
15채찍과 꾸지람이 지혜를 주거늘 임의로 행하게 버려 둔 자식은 어미를 욕되게 하느니라
16악인이 많아지면 죄도 많아지나니 의인은 그들의 망함을 보리라
17네 자식을 징계하라 그리하면 그가 너를 평안하게 하겠고 또 네 마음에 기쁨을 주리라
18묵시가 없으면 백성이 방자히 행하거니와 율법을 지키는 자는 복이 있느니라
19종은 말로만 하면 고치지 아니하나니 이는 그가 알고도 따르지 아니함이니라
20네가 말이 조급한 사람을 보느냐 그보다 미련한 자에게 오히려 희망이 있느니라
21종을 어렸을 때부터 곱게 양육하면 그가 나중에는 자식인 체하리라
22노하는 자는 다툼을 일으키고 성내는 자는 범죄함이 많으니라
23사람이 교만하면 낮아지게 되겠고 마음이 겸손하면 영예를 얻으리라
24도둑과 짝하는 자는 자기의 영혼을 미워하는 자라 그는 저주를 들어도 진술하지 아니하느니라
25사람을 두려워하면 올무에 걸리게 되거니와 여호와를 의지하는 자는 안전하리라
26주권자에게 은혜를 구하는 자가 많으나 사람의 일의 작정은 여호와께로 말미암느니라
27불의한 자는 의인에게 미움을 받고 바르게 행하는 자는 악인에게 미움을 받느니라

1Jehovah, I have called upon thee; make haste unto me: Give ear unto my voice, when I call unto thee.
2Let my prayer be set forth as incense before thee; The lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
3Set a watch, O Jehovah, before my mouth; Keep the door of my lips.
4Incline not my heart to any evil thing, To practise deeds of wickedness With men that work iniquity: And let me not eat of their dainties.
5Let the righteous smite me, `it shall be' a kindness; And let him reprove me, `it shall be as' oil upon the head; Let not my head refuse it: For even in their wickedness shall my prayer continue.
6Their judges are thrown down by the sides of the rock; And they shall hear my words; for they are sweet.
7As when one ploweth and cleaveth the earth, Our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol.
8For mine eyes are unto thee, O Jehovah the Lord: In thee do I take refuge; leave not my soul destitute.
9Keep me from the snare which they have laid for me, And from the gins of the workers of iniquity.

1여호와여 내가 주를 불렀사오니 속히 내게 오시옵소서 내가 주께 부르짖을 때에 내 음성에 귀를 기울이소서
2나의 기도가 주의 앞에 분향함과 같이 되며 나의 손 드는 것이 저녁 제사 같이 되게 하소서

1I cry with my voice unto Jehovah; With my voice unto Jehovah do I make supplication.
2I pour out my complaint before him; I show before him my trouble.

1내가 소리 내어 여호와께 부르짖으며 소리 내어 여호와께 간구하는도다
2내가 내 원통함을 그의 앞에 토로하며 내 우환을 그의 앞에 진술하는도다
3내 영이 내 속에서 상할 때에도 주께서 내 길을 아셨나이다 내가 가는 길에 그들이 나를 잡으려고 올무를 숨겼나이다

2And enter not into judgment with thy servant; For in thy sight no man living is righteous.
3For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; He hath smitten my life down to the ground: He hath made me to dwell in dark places, as those that have been long dead.
4Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; My heart within me is desolate.
5I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy doings; I muse on the work of thy hands.

7Make haste to answer me, O Jehovah; my spirit faileth: Hide not thy face from me, Lest I become like them that go down into the pit.

9Deliver me, O Jehovah, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.
10Teach me to do thy will; For thou art my God: Thy Spirit is good; Lead me in the land of uprightness.
11Quicken me, O Jehovah, for thy name's sake: In thy righteousness bring my soul out of trouble.

1여호와여 내 기도를 들으시며 내 간구에 귀를 기울이시고 주의 진실과 공의로 내게 응답하소서
2주의 종에게 심판을 행하지 마소서 주의 눈 앞에는 의로운 인생이 하나도 없나이다
3원수가 내 영혼을 핍박하며 내 생명을 땅에 엎어서 나로 죽은 지 오랜 자 같이 나를 암흑 속에 두셨나이다
4그러므로 내 심령이 속에서 상하며 내 마음이 내 속에서 참담하니이다
5내가 옛날을 기억하고 주의 모든 행하신 것을 읊조리며 주의 손이 행하는 일을 생각하고

8아침에 나로 하여금 주의 인자한 말씀을 듣게 하소서 내가 주를 의뢰함이니이다 내가 다닐 길을 알게 하소서 내가 내 영혼을 주께 드림이니이다
9여호와여 나를 내 원수들에게서 건지소서 내가 주께 피하여 숨었나이다
10주는 나의 하나님이시니 나를 가르쳐 주의 뜻을 행하게 하소서 주의 영은 선하시니 나를 공평한 땅에 인도하소서
11여호와여 주의 이름을 위하여 나를 살리시고 주의 공의로 내 영혼을 환난에서 끌어내소서
12주의 인자하심으로 나의 원수들을 끊으시고 내 영혼을 괴롭게 하는 자를 다 멸하소서 나는 주의 종이니이다
1Blessed be Jehovah my rock, Who teacheth my hands to war, `And' my fingers to fight:
2My lovingkindness, and my fortress, My high tower, and my deliverer; My shield, and he in whom I take refuge; Who subdueth my people under me.
3Jehovah, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him? Or the son of man, that thou makest account of him?
4Man is like to vanity: His days are as a shadow that passeth away.
5Bow thy heavens, O Jehovah, and come down: Touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.
6Cast forth lightning, and scatter them; Send out thine arrows, and discomfit them.
7Stretch forth thy hand from above; Rescue me, and deliver me out of great waters, Out of the hand of aliens;
8Whose mouth speaketh deceit, And whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
9I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: Upon a psaltery of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.
10Thou art he that giveth salvation unto kings; Who rescueth David his servant from the hurtful sword.
11Rescue me, and deliver me out of the hand of aliens, Whose mouth speaketh deceit, And whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
12When our sons shall be as plants grown up in their youth, And our daughters as corner-stones hewn after the fashion of a palace;
13`When' our garners are full, affording all manner of store, `And' our sheep bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our fields;
14`When' our oxen are well laden; `When there is' no breaking in, and no going forth, And no outcry in our streets:
15Happy is the people that is in such a case; `Yea', happy is the people whose God is Jehovah. Psalm 145 `A' `Psalm' `of' praise; of David.
1나의 반석이신 여호와를 찬송하리로다 그가 내 손을 가르쳐 싸우게 하시며 손가락을 가르쳐 전쟁하게 하시는도다
2여호와는 나의 사랑이시요 나의 요새이시요 나의 산성이시요 나를 건지시는 이시요 나의 방패이시니 내가 그에게 피하였고 그가 내 백성을 내게 복종하게 하셨나이다
3여호와여 사람이 무엇이기에 주께서 그를 알아 주시며 인생이 무엇이기에 그를 생각하시나이까
4사람은 헛것 같고 그의 날은 지나가는 그림자 같으니이다
5여호와여 주의 하늘을 드리우고 강림하시며 산들에 접촉하사 연기를 내게 하소서
6번개를 번쩍이사 원수들을 흩으시며 주의 화살을 쏘아 그들을 무찌르소서
7위에서부터 주의 손을 펴사 나를 큰 물과 이방인의 손에서 구하여 건지소서
8그들의 입은 거짓을 말하며 그의 오른손은 거짓의 오른손이니이다
9하나님이여 내가 주께 새 노래로 노래하며 열 줄 비파로 주를 찬양하리이다
10주는 왕들에게 구원을 베푸시는 자시요 그의 종 다윗을 그 해하려는 칼에서 구하시는 자시니이다
11이방인의 손에서 나를 구하여 건지소서 그들의 입은 거짓을 말하며 그 오른손은 거짓의 오른손이니이다
12우리 아들들은 어리다가 장성한 나무들과 같으며 우리 딸들은 궁전의 양식대로 아름답게 다듬은 모퉁잇돌들과 같으며
13우리의 곳간에는 백곡이 가득하며 우리의 양은 들에서 천천과 만만으로 번성하며
14우리 수소는 무겁게 실었으며 또 우리를 침노하는 일이나 우리가 나아가 막는 일이 없으며 우리 거리에는 슬피 부르짖음이 없을진대
15이러한 백성은 복이 있나니 여호와를 자기 하나님으로 삼는 백성은 복이 있도다
1I will extol thee, my God, O King; And I will bless thy name for ever and ever.
2Every day will I bless thee; And I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
3Great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised; And his greatness is unsearchable.
4One generation shall laud thy works to another, And shall declare thy mighty acts.
5Of the glorious majesty of thine honor, And of thy wondrous works, will I meditate.
6And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts; And I will declare thy greatness.
7They shall utter the memory of thy great goodness, And shall sing of thy righteousness.
8Jehovah is gracious, and merciful; Slow to anger, and of great lovingkindness.
9Jehovah is good to all; And his tender mercies are over all his works.
10All thy works shall give thanks unto thee, O Jehovah; And thy saints shall bless thee.
11They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, And talk of thy power;
12To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, And the glory of the majesty of his kingdom.
13Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And thy dominion `endureth' throughout all generations.
14Jehovah upholdeth all that fall, And raiseth up all those that are bowed down.
15The eyes of all wait for thee; And thou givest them their food in due season.
16Thou openest thy hand, And satisfiest the desire of every living thing.
17Jehovah is righteous in all his ways, And gracious in all his works.
18Jehovah is nigh unto all them that call upon him, To all that call upon him in truth.
19He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him; He also will hear their cry and will save them.
20Jehovah preserveth all them that love him; But all the wicked will he destroy.
21My mouth shall speak the praise of Jehovah; And let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.
1왕이신 나의 하나님이여 내가 주를 높이고 영원히 주의 이름을 송축하리이다
2내가 날마다 주를 송축하며 영원히 주의 이름을 송축하리이다
3여호와는 위대하시니 크게 찬양할 것이라 그의 위대하심을 측량하지 못하리로다
4대대로 주께서 행하시는 일을 크게 찬양하며 주의 능한 일을 선포하리로다
5주의 존귀하고 영광스러운 위엄과 주의 기이한 일들을 나는 작은 소리로 읊조리리이다
6사람들은 주의 두려운 일의 권능을 말할 것이요 나도 주의 위대하심을 선포하리이다
7그들이 주의 크신 은혜를 기념하여 말하며 주의 공의를 노래하리이다
8여호와는 은혜로우시며 긍휼이 많으시며 노하기를 더디 하시며 인자하심이 크시도다
9여호와께서는 모든 것을 선대하시며 그 지으신 모든 것에 긍휼을 베푸시는도다
10여호와여 주께서 지으신 모든 것들이 주께 감사하며 주의 성도들이 주를 송축하리이다
11그들이 주의 나라의 영광을 말하며 주의 업적을 일러서
12주의 업적과 주의 나라의 위엄 있는 영광을 인생들에게 알게 하리이다
13주의 나라는 영원한 나라이니 주의 통치는 대대에 이르리이다
14여호와께서는 모든 넘어지는 자들을 붙드시며 비굴한 자들을 일으키시는도다
15모든 사람의 눈이 주를 앙망하오니 주는 때를 따라 그들에게 먹을 것을 주시며
16손을 펴사 모든 생물의 소원을 만족하게 하시나이다
17여호와께서는 그 모든 행위에 의로우시며 그 모든 일에 은혜로우시도다
18여호와께서는 자기에게 간구하는 모든 자 곧 진실하게 간구하는 모든 자에게 가까이 하시는도다
19그는 자기를 경외하는 자들의 소원을 이루시며 또 그들의 부르짖음을 들으사 구원하시리로다
20여호와께서 자기를 사랑하는 자들은 다 보호하시고 악인들은 다 멸하시리로다
21내 입이 여호와의 영예를 말하며 모든 육체가 그의 거룩하신 이름을 영원히 송축할지로다
