1A false balance is an abomination to Jehovah; But a just weight is his delight.

2When pride cometh, then cometh shame; But with the lowly is wisdom.

3The integrity of the upright shall guide them; But the perverseness of the treacherous shall destroy them.

4Riches profit not in the day of wrath; But righteousness delivereth from death.

5The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way; But the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.

6The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them; But the treacherous shall be taken in their own iniquity.

7When a wicked man dieth, `his' expectation shall perish; And the hope of iniquity perisheth.

8The righteous is delivered out of trouble, And the wicked cometh in his stead.

9With his mouth the godless man destroyeth his neighbor; But through knowledge shall the righteous be delivered.

10When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth; And when the wicked perish, there is shouting.

11By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted; But it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

12He that despiseth his neighbor is void of wisdom; But a man of understanding holdeth his peace.

13He that goeth about as a tale-bearer revealeth secrets; But he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth a matter.

14Where no wise guidance is, the people falleth; But in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.

15He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it; But he that hateth suretyship is secure.

16A gracious woman obtaineth honor; And violent men obtain riches.

17The merciful man doeth good to his own soul; But he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.

18The wicked earneth deceitful wages; But he that soweth righteousness `hath' a sure reward.

19He that is stedfast in righteousness `shall attain' unto life; And he that pursueth evil `doeth it' to his own death.

20They that are perverse in heart are an abomination to Jehovah; But such as are perfect in `their' way are his delight.

21`Though' hand `join' in hand, the evil man shall not be unpunished; But the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.

22`As' a ring of gold in a swine's snout, `So is' a fair woman that is without discretion.

23The desire of the righteous is only good; `But' the expectation of the wicked is wrath.

24There is that scattereth, and increaseth yet more; And there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but `it tendeth' only to want.

25The liberal soul shall be made fat; And he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

26He that withholdeth grain, the people shall curse him; But blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.

27He that diligently seeketh good seeketh favor; But he that searcheth after evil, it shall come unto him.

28He that trusteth in his riches shall fall; But the righteous shall flourish as the green leaf.

29He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind; And the foolish shall be servant to the wise of heart.

30The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; And he that is wise winneth souls.

31Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: How much more the wicked and the sinner!

1속이는 저울은 여호와께서 미워하시나 공평한 추는 그가 기뻐하시느니라

2교만이 오면 욕도 오거니와 겸손한 자에게는 지혜가 있느니라

3정직한 자의 성실은 자기를 인도하거니와 사악한 자의 패역은 자기를 망하게 하느니라

4재물은 진노하시는 날에 무익하나 공의는 죽음에서 건지느니라

5완전한 자의 공의는 자기의 길을 곧게 하려니와 악한 자는 자기의 악으로 말미암아 넘어지리라

6정직한 자의 공의는 자기를 건지려니와 사악한 자는 자기의 악에 잡히리라

7악인은 죽을 때에 그 소망이 끊어지나니 불의의 소망이 없어지느니라

8의인은 환난에서 구원을 얻으나 악인은 자기의 길로 가느니라

9악인은 입으로 그의 이웃을 망하게 하여도 의인은 그의 지식으로 말미암아 구원을 얻느니라

10의인이 형통하면 성읍이 즐거워하고 악인이 패망하면 기뻐 외치느니라

11성읍은 정직한 자의 축복으로 인하여 진흥하고 악한 자의 입으로 말미암아 무너지느니라

12지혜 없는 자는 그의 이웃을 멸시하나 명철한 자는 잠잠하느니라

13두루 다니며 한담하는 자는 남의 비밀을 누설하나 마음이 신실한 자는 그런 것을 숨기느니라

14지략이 없으면 백성이 망하여도 지략이 많으면 평안을 누리느니라

15타인을 위하여 보증이 되는 자는 손해를 당하여도 보증이 되기를 싫어하는 자는 평안하니라

16유덕한 여자는 존영을 얻고 근면한 남자는 재물을 얻느니라

17인자한 자는 자기의 영혼을 이롭게 하고 잔인한 자는 자기의 몸을 해롭게 하느니라

18악인의 삯은 허무하되 공의를 뿌린 자의 상은 확실하니라

19공의를 굳게 지키는 자는 생명에 이르고 악을 따르는 자는 사망에 이르느니라

20마음이 굽은 자는 여호와께 미움을 받아도 행위가 온전한 자는 그의 기뻐하심을 받느니라

21악인은 피차 손을 잡을지라도 벌을 면하지 못할 것이나 의인의 자손은 구원을 얻으리라

22아름다운 여인이 삼가지 아니하는 것은 마치 돼지 코에 금 고리 같으니라

23의인의 소원은 오직 선하나 악인의 소망은 진노를 이루느니라

24흩어 구제하여도 더욱 부하게 되는 일이 있나니 과도히 아껴도 가난하게 될 뿐이니라

25구제를 좋아하는 자는 풍족하여질 것이요 남을 윤택하게 하는 자는 자기도 윤택하여지리라

26곡식을 내놓지 아니하는 자는 백성에게 저주를 받을 것이나 파는 자는 그의 머리에 복이 임하리라

27선을 간절히 구하는 자는 은총을 얻으려니와 악을 더듬어 찾는 자에게는 악이 임하리라

28자기의 재물을 의지하는 자는 패망하려니와 의인은 푸른 잎사귀 같아서 번성하리라

29자기 집을 해롭게 하는 자의 소득은 바람이라 미련한 자는 마음이 지혜로운 자의 종이 되리라

30의인의 열매는 생명 나무라 지혜로운 자는 사람을 얻느니라

31보라 의인이라도 이 세상에서 보응을 받겠거든 하물며 악인과 죄인이리요

1Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: According to the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

2Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin.

3For I know my transgressions; And my sin is ever before me.

4Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, And done that which is evil in thy sight; That thou mayest be justified when thou speakest, And be clear when thou judgest.

5Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity; And in sin did my mother conceive me.

6Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts; And in the hidden part thou wilt make me to know wisdom.

7Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

8Make me to hear joy and gladness, That the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.

9Hide thy face from my sins, And blot out all mine iniquities.

10Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me.

11Cast me not away from thy presence; And take not thy holy Spirit from me.

12Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; And uphold me with a willing spirit.

13Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; And sinners shall be converted unto thee.

14Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation; `And' my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.

15O Lord, open thou my lips; And my mouth shall show forth thy praise.

16For thou delightest not in sacrifice; else would I give it: Thou hast no pleasure in burnt-offering.

17The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: A broken and contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

18Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: Build thou the walls of Jerusalem.

19Then will thou delight in the sacrifices of righteousness, In burnt-offering and in whole burnt-offering: Then will they offer bullocks upon thine altar. Psalm 52 For the Chief Musician. 1하나님이여 주의 인자를 따라 내게 은혜를 베푸시며 주의 많은 긍휼을 따라 내 죄악을 지워 주소서

2나의 죄악을 말갛게 씻으시며 나의 죄를 깨끗이 제하소서

3무릇 나는 내 죄과를 아오니 내 죄가 항상 내 앞에 있나이다

4내가 주께만 범죄하여 주의 목전에 악을 행하였사오니 주께서 말씀하실 때에 의로우시다 하고 주께서 심판하실 때에 순전하시다 하리이다

5내가 죄악 중에서 출생하였음이여 어머니가 죄 중에서 나를 잉태하였나이다

6보소서 주께서는 중심이 진실함을 원하시오니 내게 지혜를 은밀히 가르치시리이다

7우슬초로 나를 정결하게 하소서 내가 정하리이다 나의 죄를 씻어 주소서 내가 눈보다 희리이다

8내게 즐겁고 기쁜 소리를 들려 주시사 주께서 꺾으신 뼈들도 즐거워하게 하소서

9주의 얼굴을 내 죄에서 돌이키시고 내 모든 죄악을 지워 주소서

10하나님이여 내 속에 정한 마음을 창조하시고 내 안에 정직한 영을 새롭게 하소서

11나를 주 앞에서 쫓아내지 마시며 주의 성령을 내게서 거두지 마소서

12주의 구원의 즐거움을 내게 회복시켜 주시고 자원하는 심령을 주사 나를 붙드소서

13그리하면 내가 범죄자에게 주의 도를 가르치리니 죄인들이 주께 돌아오리이다

14하나님이여 나의 구원의 하나님이여 피 흘린 죄에서 나를 건지소서 내 혀가 주의 공의를 높이 노래하리이다

15주여 내 입술을 열어 주소서 내 입이 주를 찬송하여 전파하리이다

16주께서는 제사를 기뻐하지 아니하시나니 그렇지 아니하면 내가 드렸을 것이라 주는 번제를 기뻐하지 아니하시나이다

17하나님께서 구하시는 제사는 상한 심령이라 하나님이여 상하고 통회하는 마음을 주께서 멸시하지 아니하시리이다

18주의 은택으로 시온에 선을 행하시고 예루살렘 성을 쌓으소서

19그 때에 주께서 의로운 제사와 번제와 온전한 번제를 기뻐하시리니 그 때에 그들이 수소를 주의 제단에 드리리이다

1Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? The lovingkindness of God `endureth' continually.

2Thy tongue deviseth very wickedness, Like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.

3Thou lovest evil more than good, And lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah

4Thou lovest all devouring words, thou deceitful tongue.

5God will likewise destroy thee for ever; He will take thee up, and pluck thee out of thy tent, And root thee out of the land of the living. Selah

6The righteous also shall see `it', and fear, And shall laugh at him, `saying',

7Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength, But trusted in the abundance of his riches, And strengthened himself in his wickedness.

8But as for me, I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God: I trust in the lovingkindness of God for ever and ever.

1포악한 자여 네가 어찌하여 악한 계획을 스스로 자랑하는가 하나님의 인자하심은 항상 있도다

2네 혀가 심한 악을 꾀하여 날카로운 삭도 같이 간사를 행하는도다

3네가 선보다 악을 사랑하며 의를 말함보다 거짓을 사랑하는도다 (셀라)

4간사한 혀여 너는 남을 해치는 모든 말을 좋아하는도다

5그런즉 하나님이 영원히 너를 멸하심이여 너를 붙잡아 네 장막에서 뽑아 내며 살아 있는 땅에서 네 뿌리를 빼시리로다 (셀라)

6의인이 보고 두려워하며 또 그를 비웃어 말하기를

7이 사람은 하나님을 자기 힘으로 삼지 아니하고 오직 자기 재물의 풍부함을 의지하며 자기의 악으로 스스로 든든하게 하던 자라 하리로다

8그러나 나는 하나님의 집에 있는 푸른 감람나무 같음이여 하나님의 인자하심을 영원히 의지하리로다

9주께서 이를 행하셨으므로 내가 영원히 주께 감사하고 주의 이름이 선하시므로 주의 성도 앞에서 내가 주의 이름을 사모하리이다

1The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity; There is none that doeth good.

2God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there were any that did understand, That did seek after God.

1어리석은 자는 그의 마음에 이르기를 하나님이 없다 하도다 그들은 부패하며 가증한 악을 행함이여 선을 행하는 자가 없도다

2하나님이 하늘에서 인생을 굽어 살피사 지각이 있는 자와 하나님을 찾는 자가 있는가 보려 하신즉

3각기 물러가 함께 더러운 자가 되고 선을 행하는 자 없으니 한 사람도 없도다

4죄악을 행하는 자들은 무지하냐 그들이 떡 먹듯이 내 백성을 먹으면서 하나님을 부르지 아니하는도다

5그들이 두려움이 없는 곳에서 크게 두려워하였으니 너를 대항하여 진친 그들의 뼈를 하나님이 흩으심이라 하나님이 그들을 버리셨으므로 네가 그들에게 수치를 당하게 하였도다

6시온에서 이스라엘을 구원하여 줄 자 누구인가 하나님이 자기 백성의 포로된 것을 돌이키실 때에 야곱이 즐거워하며 이스라엘이 기뻐하리로다

1Save me, O God, by thy name, And judge me in thy might.

2Hear my prayer, O God; Give ear to the words of my mouth.

3For strangers are risen up against me, And violent men have sought after my soul: They have not set God before them. Selah

4Behold, God is my helper: The Lord is of them that uphold my soul.

1하나님이여 주의 이름으로 나를 구원하시고 주의 힘으로 나를 변호하소서

3낯선 자들이 일어나 나를 치고 포악한 자들이 나의 생명을 수색하며 하나님을 자기 앞에 두지 아니하였음이니이다 (셀라)

4하나님은 나를 돕는 이시며 주께서는 내 생명을 붙들어 주시는 이시니이다

5주께서는 내 원수에게 악으로 갚으시리니 주의 성실하심으로 그들을 멸하소서

6내가 낙헌제로 주께 제사하리이다 여호와여 주의 이름에 감사하오리니 주의 이름이 선하심이니이다

1Give ear to my prayer, O God; And hide not thyself from my supplication.

1하나님이여 내 기도에 귀를 기울이시고 내가 간구할 때에 숨지 마소서

2내게 굽히사 응답하소서 내가 근심으로 편하지 못하여 탄식하오니

3이는 원수의 소리와 악인의 압제 때문이라 그들이 죄악을 내게 더하며 노하여 나를 핍박하나이다

4내 마음이 내 속에서 심히 아파하며 사망의 위험이 내게 이르렀도다

5두려움과 떨림이 내게 이르고 공포가 나를 덮었도다

10그들이 주야로 성벽 위에 두루 다니니 성중에는 죄악과 재난이 있으며

11악독이 그 중에 있고 압박과 속임수가 그 거리를 떠나지 아니하도다

12나를 책망하는 자는 원수가 아니라 원수일진대 내가 참았으리라 나를 대하여 자기를 높이는 자는 나를 미워하는 자가 아니라 미워하는 자일진대 내가 그를 피하여 숨었으리라

13그는 곧 너로다 나의 동료, 나의 친구요 나의 가까운 친우로다

14우리가 같이 재미있게 의논하며 무리와 함께 하여 하나님의 집안에서 다녔도다

15사망이 갑자기 그들에게 임하여 산 채로 스올에 내려갈지어다 이는 악독이 그들의 거처에 있고 그들 가운데에 있음이로다

16나는 하나님께 부르짖으리니 여호와께서 나를 구원하시리로다

17저녁과 아침과 정오에 내가 근심하여 탄식하리니 여호와께서 내 소리를 들으시리로다

18나를 대적하는 자 많더니 나를 치는 전쟁에서 그가 내 생명을 구원하사 평안하게 하셨도다

19옛부터 계시는 하나님이 들으시고 그들을 낮추시리이다 (셀라) 그들은 변하지 아니하며 하나님을 경외하지 아니함이니이다

20그는 손을 들어 자기와 화목한 자를 치고 그의 언약을 배반하였도다

21그의 입은 우유 기름보다 미끄러우나 그의 마음은 전쟁이요 그의 말은 기름보다 유하나 실상은 뽑힌 칼이로다

22네 짐을 여호와께 맡기라 그가 너를 붙드시고 의인의 요동함을 영원히 허락하지 아니하시리로다

23하나님이여 주께서 그들로 파멸의 웅덩이에 빠지게 하시리이다 피를 흘리게 하며 속이는 자들은 그들의 날의 반도 살지 못할 것이나 나는 주를 의지하리이다
