1And again he began to teach by the sea side. And there is gathered unto him a very great multitude, so that he entered into a boat, and sat in the sea; and all the multitude were by the sea on the land.
2And he taught them many things in parables, and said unto them in his teaching,
3Hearken: Behold, the sower went forth to sow:
4and it came to pass, as he sowed, some `seed' fell by the way side, and the birds came and devoured it.
5And other fell on the rocky `ground', where it had not much earth; and straightway it sprang up, because it had no deepness of earth:
6and when the sun was risen, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.
7And other fell among the thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.
8And others fell into the good ground, and yielded fruit, growing up and increasing; and brought forth, thirtyfold, and sixtyfold, and a hundredfold.
9And he said, Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
10And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parables.
11And he said unto them, Unto you is given the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all things are done in parables:
12that seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest haply they should turn again, and it should be forgiven them.
13And he saith unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how shall ye know all the parables?
14The sower soweth the word.
15And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; and when they have heard, straightway cometh Satan, and taketh away the word which hath been sown in them.
16And these in like manner are they that are sown upon the rocky `places', who, when they have heard the word, straightway receive it with joy;
17and they have no root in themselves, but endure for a while; then, when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, straightway they stumble.
18And others are they that are sown among the thorns; these are they that have heard the word,
19and the cares of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
20And those are they that were sown upon the good ground; such as hear the word, and accept it, and bear fruit, thirtyfold, and sixtyfold, and a hundredfold.
1예수께서 다시 바닷가에서 가르치시니 큰 무리가 모여들거늘 예수께서 바다에 떠 있는 배에 올라 앉으시고 온 무리는 바닷가 육지에 있더라
2이에 예수께서 여러 가지를 비유로 가르치시니 그 가르치시는 중에 그들에게 이르시되
3들으라 씨를 뿌리는 자가 뿌리러 나가서
4뿌릴새 더러는 길 가에 떨어지매 새들이 와서 먹어 버렸고
5더러는 흙이 얕은 돌밭에 떨어지매 흙이 깊지 아니하므로 곧 싹이 나오나
6해가 돋은 후에 타서 뿌리가 없으므로 말랐고
7더러는 가시떨기에 떨어지매 가시가 자라 기운을 막으므로 결실하지 못하였고
8더러는 좋은 땅에 떨어지매 자라 무성하여 결실하였으니 삼십 배나 육십 배나 백 배가 되었느니라 하시고
9또 이르시되 들을 귀 있는 자는 들으라 하시니라
10예수께서 홀로 계실 때에 함께한 사람들이 열두 제자와 더불어 그 비유들에 대해 물으니
11이르시되 하나님 나라의 비밀을 너희에게는 주었으나 외인에게는 모든 것을 비유로 하나니
12이는 그들로 보기는 보아도 알지 못하며 듣기는 들어도 깨닫지 못하게 하여 돌이켜 죄 사함을 얻지 못하게 하려 함이라 하시고
13또 이르시되 너희가 이 비유를 알지 못할진대 어떻게 모든 비유를 알겠느냐
14뿌리는 자는 말씀을 뿌리는 것이라
15말씀이 길 가에 뿌려졌다는 것은 이들을 가리킴이니 곧 말씀을 들었을 때에 사탄이 즉시 와서 그들에게 뿌려진 말씀을 빼앗는 것이요
16또 이와 같이 돌밭에 뿌려졌다는 것은 이들을 가리킴이니 곧 말씀을 들을 때에 즉시 기쁨으로 받으나
17그 속에 뿌리가 없어 잠깐 견디다가 말씀으로 인하여 환난이나 박해가 일어나는 때에는 곧 넘어지는 자요
18또 어떤 이는 가시떨기에 뿌려진 자니 이들은 말씀을 듣기는 하되
19세상의 염려와 재물의 유혹과 기타 욕심이 들어와 말씀을 막아 결실하지 못하게 되는 자요
20좋은 땅에 뿌려졌다는 것은 곧 말씀을 듣고 받아 삼십 배나 육십 배나 백 배의 결실을 하는 자니라
In a world that constantly demands more — more productivity, more achievement, more anxiety — Psalm 23 speaks a radical word of rest. The shepherd does not drive the sheep; he leads them. There is a profound difference between a God who demands and a God who guides. Today, where do you need to let the Shepherd lead you into rest?

Lord, help me to trust you as my shepherd today. In the places where I feel lack, remind me of your abundance. In the moments of striving, call me back to rest in you. Amen.

잠언 9장
1Wisdom hath builded her house; She hath hewn out her seven pillars:
2She hath killed her beasts; She hath mingled her wine; She hath also furnished her table:
3She hath sent forth her maidens; She crieth upon the highest places of the city:
4Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: As for him that is void of understanding, she saith to him,
5Come, eat ye of my bread, And drink of the wine which I have mingled.
6Leave off, ye simple ones, and live; And walk in the way of understanding.
7He that correcteth a scoffer getteth to himself reviling; And he that reproveth a wicked man `getteth' himself a blot.
8Reprove not a scoffer, lest he hate thee: Reprove a wise man, and he will love thee.
9Give `instruction' to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: Teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning.
10The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
11For by me thy days shall be multiplied, And the years of thy life shall be increased.
12If thou art wise, thou art wise for thyself; And if thou scoffest, thou alone shalt bear it.
13The foolish woman is clamorous; `She is' simple, and knoweth nothing.
14And she sitteth at the door of her house, On a seat in the high places of the city,
15To call to them that pass by, Who go right on their ways:
16Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither; And as for him that is void of understanding, she saith to him,
17Stolen waters are sweet, And bread `eaten' in secret is pleasant.
18But he knoweth not that the dead are there; That her guests are in the depths of Sheol.
1지혜가 그의 집을 짓고 일곱 기둥을 다듬고
2짐승을 잡으며 포도주를 혼합하여 상을 갖추고
3자기의 여종을 보내어 성중 높은 곳에서 불러 이르기를
4어리석은 자는 이리로 돌이키라 또 지혜 없는 자에게 이르기를
5너는 와서 내 식물을 먹으며 내 혼합한 포도주를 마시고
6어리석음을 버리고 생명을 얻으라 명철의 길을 행하라 하느니라
7거만한 자를 징계하는 자는 도리어 능욕을 받고 악인을 책망하는 자는 도리어 흠이 잡히느니라
8거만한 자를 책망하지 말라 그가 너를 미워할까 두려우니라 지혜 있는 자를 책망하라 그가 너를 사랑하리라
9지혜 있는 자에게 교훈을 더하라 그가 더욱 지혜로워질 것이요 의로운 사람을 가르치라 그의 학식이 더하리라
10여호와를 경외하는 것이 지혜의 근본이요 거룩하신 자를 아는 것이 명철이니라
11나 지혜로 말미암아 네 날이 많아질 것이요 네 생명의 해가 네게 더하리라
12네가 만일 지혜로우면 그 지혜가 네게 유익할 것이나 네가 만일 거만하면 너 홀로 해를 당하리라
13미련한 여인이 떠들며 어리석어서 아무것도 알지 못하고
14자기 집 문에 앉으며 성읍 높은 곳에 있는 자리에 앉아서
15자기 길을 바로 가는 행인들을 불러 이르되
16어리석은 자는 이리로 돌이키라 또 지혜 없는 자에게 이르기를
17도둑질한 물이 달고 몰래 먹는 떡이 맛이 있다 하는도다
18오직 그 어리석은 자는 죽은 자들이 거기 있는 것과 그의 객들이 스올 깊은 곳에 있는 것을 알지 못하느니라

1Blessed is he that considereth the poor: Jehovah will deliver him in the day of evil.
2Jehovah will preserve him, and keep him alive, And he shall be blessed upon the earth; And deliver not thou him unto the will of his enemies.
3Jehovah will support him upon the couch of languishing: Thou makest all his bed in his sickness.
4I said, O Jehovah, have mercy upon me: Heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.
5Mine enemies speak evil against me, `saying', When will he die, and his name perish?
6And if he come to see `me', he speaketh falsehood; His heart gathereth iniquity to itself: When he goeth abroad, he telleth it.
7All that hate me whisper together against me; Against me do they devise my hurt.
8An evil disease, `say they', cleaveth fast unto him; And now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.
9Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, Who did eat of my bread, Hath lifted up his heel against me.
10But thou, O Jehovah, have mercy upon me, and raise me up, That I may requite them.
11By this I know that thou delightest in me, Because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.
12And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, And settest me before thy face for ever.

1가난한 자를 보살피는 자에게 복이 있음이여 재앙의 날에 여호와께서 그를 건지시리로다
2여호와께서 그를 지키사 살게 하시리니 그가 이 세상에서 복을 받을 것이라 주여 그를 그 원수들의 뜻에 맡기지 마소서
3여호와께서 그를 병상에서 붙드시고 그가 누워 있을 때마다 그의 병을 고쳐 주시나이다
4내가 말하기를 여호와여 내게 은혜를 베푸소서 내가 주께 범죄하였사오니 나를 고치소서 하였나이다
5나의 원수가 내게 대하여 악담하기를 그가 어느 때에나 죽고 그의 이름이 언제나 없어질까 하며
6나를 보러 와서는 거짓을 말하고 그의 중심에 악을 쌓았다가 나가서는 이를 널리 선포하오며
7나를 미워하는 자가 다 하나같이 내게 대하여 수군거리고 나를 해하려고 꾀하며
8이르기를 악한 병이 그에게 들었으니 이제 그가 눕고 다시 일어나지 못하리라 하오며
9내가 신뢰하여 내 떡을 나눠 먹던 나의 가까운 친구도 나를 대적하여 그의 발꿈치를 들었나이다
10그러하오나 주 여호와여 내게 은혜를 베푸시고 나를 일으키사 내가 그들에게 보응하게 하소서 이로써
11내 원수가 나를 이기지 못하오니 주께서 나를 기뻐하시는 줄을 내가 알았나이다
12주께서 나를 온전한 중에 붙드시고 영원히 주 앞에 세우시나이다

1As the hart panteth after the water brooks, So panteth my soul after thee, O God.
2My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: When shall I come and appear before God?
3My tears have been my food day and night, While they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?
4These things I remember, and pour out my soul within me, How I went with the throng, and led them to the house of God, With the voice of joy and praise, a multitude keeping holyday.
5Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And `why' art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God; for I shall yet praise him `For' the help of his countenance.
6O my God, my soul is cast down within me: Therefore do I remember thee from the land of the Jordan, And the Hermons, from the hill Mizar.
7Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterfalls: All thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
8`Yet' Jehovah will command his lovingkindness in the day-time; And in the night his song shall be with me, `Even' a prayer unto the God of my life.
9I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
10As with a sword in my bones, mine adversaries reproach me, While they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?
11Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God; for I shall yet praise him, `Who is' the help of my countenance, and my God.
1하나님이여 사슴이 시냇물을 찾기에 갈급함 같이 내 영혼이 주를 찾기에 갈급하나이다
2내 영혼이 하나님 곧 살아 계시는 하나님을 갈망하나니 내가 어느 때에 나아가서 하나님의 얼굴을 뵈올까
3사람들이 종일 내게 하는 말이 네 하나님이 어디 있느뇨 하오니 내 눈물이 주야로 내 음식이 되었도다
4내가 전에 성일을 지키는 무리와 동행하여 기쁨과 감사의 소리를 내며 그들을 하나님의 집으로 인도하였더니 이제 이 일을 기억하고 내 마음이 상하는도다
5내 영혼아 네가 어찌하여 낙심하며 어찌하여 내 속에서 불안해하는가 너는 하나님께 소망을 두라 그가 나타나 도우심으로 말미암아 내가 여전히 찬송하리로다
6내 하나님이여 내 영혼이 내 속에서 낙심이 되므로 내가 요단 땅과 헤르몬과 미살 산에서 주를 기억하나이다
7주의 폭포 소리에 깊은 바다가 서로 부르며 주의 모든 파도와 물결이 나를 휩쓸었나이다

1We have heard with our ears, O God, Our fathers have told us, What work thou didst in their days, In the days of old.
2Thou didst drive out the nations with thy hand; But them thou didst plant: Thou didst afflict the peoples; But them thou didst spread abroad.
3For they gat not the land in possession by their own sword, Neither did their own arm save them; But thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, Because thou wast favorable unto them.
4Thou art my King, O God: Command deliverance for Jacob.
5Through thee will we push down our adversaries: Through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.
6For I will not trust in my bow, Neither shall my sword save me.
7But thou hast saved us from our adversaries, And hast put them to shame that hate us.
8In God have we made our boast all the day long, And we will give thanks unto thy name for ever. Selah
9But now thou hast cast `us' off, and brought us to dishonor, And goest not forth with our hosts.
10Thou makest us to turn back from the adversary; And they that hate us take spoil for themselves.
11Thou hast made us like sheep `appointed' for food, And hast scattered us among the nations.
12Thou sellest thy people for nought, And hast not increased `thy wealth' by their price.
13Thou makest us a reproach to our neighbors, A scoffing and a derision to them that are round about us.
14Thou makest us a byword among the nations, A shaking of the head among the peoples.
15All the day long is my dishonor before me, And the shame of my face hath covered me,
16For the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth, By reason of the enemy and the avenger.
17All this is come upon us; Yet have we not forgotten thee, Neither have we dealt falsely in thy covenant.
18Our heart is not turned back, Neither have our steps declined from thy way,
19That thou hast sore broken us in the place of jackals, And covered us with the shadow of death.
20If we have forgotten the name of our God, Or spread forth our hands to a strange god;
21Will not God search this out? For he knoweth the secrets of the heart.
22Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
23Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord? Arise, cast `us' not off for ever.
24Wherefore hidest thou thy face, And forgettest our affliction and our oppression?
25For our soul is bowed down to the dust: Our body cleaveth unto the earth.
26Rise up for our help, And redeem us for thy lovingkindness' sake. Psalm 45 For the Chief Musician; set to Shoshannim. `A Psalm' of the sons of Korah. Maschil. A Song of loves.
1하나님이여 주께서 우리 조상들의 날 곧 옛날에 행하신 일을 그들이 우리에게 일러주매 우리가 우리 귀로 들었나이다
2주께서 주의 손으로 뭇 백성을 내쫓으시고 우리 조상들을 이 땅에 뿌리박게 하시며 주께서 다른 민족들은 고달프게 하시고 우리 조상들은 번성하게 하셨나이다
3그들이 자기 칼로 땅을 얻어 차지함이 아니요 그들의 팔이 그들을 구원함도 아니라 오직 주의 오른손과 주의 팔과 주의 얼굴의 빛으로 하셨으니 주께서 그들을 기뻐하신 까닭이니이다
4하나님이여 주는 나의 왕이시니 야곱에게 구원을 베푸소서
5우리가 주를 의지하여 우리 대적을 누르고 우리를 치러 일어나는 자를 주의 이름으로 밟으리이다
6나는 내 활을 의지하지 아니할 것이라 내 칼이 나를 구원하지 못하리이다
7오직 주께서 우리를 우리 원수들에게서 구원하시고 우리를 미워하는 자로 수치를 당하게 하셨나이다
8우리가 종일 하나님을 자랑하였나이다 우리는 하나님의 이름에 영원히 감사하리이다 (셀라)
9그러나 이제는 주께서 우리를 버려 욕을 당하게 하시고 우리 군대와 함께 나아가지 아니하시나이다
10주께서 우리를 대적들에게서 돌아서게 하시니 우리를 미워하는 자가 자기를 위하여 탈취하였나이다
11주께서 우리를 잡아먹힐 양처럼 그들에게 넘겨 주시고 여러 민족 중에 우리를 흩으셨나이다
12주께서 주의 백성을 헐값으로 파심이여 그들을 판 값으로 이익을 얻지 못하셨나이다
13주께서 우리로 하여금 이웃에게 욕을 당하게 하시니 그들이 우리를 둘러싸고 조소하고 조롱하나이다
14주께서 우리를 뭇 백성 중에 이야기 거리가 되게 하시며 민족 중에서 머리 흔듦을 당하게 하셨나이다
15나의 능욕이 종일 내 앞에 있으며 수치가 내 얼굴을 덮었으니
16나를 비방하고 욕하는 소리 때문이요 나의 원수와 나의 복수자 때문이니이다
17이 모든 일이 우리에게 임하였으나 우리가 주를 잊지 아니하며 주의 언약을 어기지 아니하였나이다
18우리의 마음은 위축되지 아니하고 우리 걸음도 주의 길을 떠나지 아니하였으나
19주께서 우리를 승냥이의 처소에 밀어 넣으시고 우리를 사망의 그늘로 덮으셨나이다
20우리가 우리 하나님의 이름을 잊어버렸거나 우리 손을 이방 신에게 향하여 폈다면
21하나님이 이를 알아내지 아니하셨으리이까 무릇 주는 마음의 비밀을 아시나이다
22우리가 종일 주를 위하여 죽임을 당하게 되며 도살할 양 같이 여김을 받았나이다
23주여 깨소서 어찌하여 주무시나이까 일어나시고 우리를 영원히 버리지 마소서
24어찌하여 주의 얼굴을 가리시고 우리의 고난과 압제를 잊으시나이까
25우리 영혼은 진토 속에 파묻히고 우리 몸은 땅에 붙었나이다
26일어나 우리를 도우소서 주의 인자하심으로 말미암아 우리를 구원하소서
1My heart overfloweth with a goodly matter; I speak the things which I have made touching the king: My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
2Thou art fairer than the children of men; Grace is poured into thy lips: Therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.
3Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O mighty one, Thy glory and thy majesty.
4And in thy majesty ride on prosperously, Because of truth and meekness `and' righteousness: And thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.
5Thine arrows are sharp; The peoples fall under thee; `They are' in the heart of the king's enemies.
6Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: A sceptre of equity is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
7Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated wickedness: Therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee With the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
8All thy garments `smell of' myrrh, and aloes, `and' cassia; Out of ivory palaces stringed instruments have made thee glad.
9Kings' daughters are among thy honorable women: At thy right hand doth stand the queen in gold of Ophir.
10Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; Forget also thine own people, and thy father's house:
11So will the king desire thy beauty; For he is thy lord; and reverence thou him.
12And the daughter of Tyre `shall be there' with a gift; The rich among the people shall entreat thy favor.
13The king's daughter within `the palace' is all glorious: Her clothing is inwrought with gold.
14She shall be led unto the king in broidered work: The virgins her companions that follow her Shall be brought unto thee.
15With gladness and rejoicing shall they be led: They shall enter into the king's palace.
16Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, Whom thou shalt make princes in all the earth.

1내 마음이 좋은 말로 왕을 위하여 지은 것을 말하리니 내 혀는 글 솜씨가 뛰어난 서기관의 붓끝과 같도다
2왕은 사람들보다 아름다워 은혜를 입술에 머금으니 그러므로 하나님이 왕에게 영원히 복을 주시도다
3용사여 칼을 허리에 차고 왕의 영화와 위엄을 입으소서
4왕은 진리와 온유와 공의를 위하여 왕의 위엄을 세우시고 병거에 오르소서 왕의 오른손이 왕에게 놀라운 일을 가르치리이다
5왕의 화살은 날카로워 왕의 원수의 염통을 뚫으니 만민이 왕의 앞에 엎드러지는도다
6하나님이여 주의 보좌는 영원하며 주의 나라의 규는 공평한 규이니이다
7왕은 정의를 사랑하고 악을 미워하시니 그러므로 하나님 곧 왕의 하나님이 즐거움의 기름을 왕에게 부어 왕의 동료보다 뛰어나게 하셨나이다
8왕의 모든 옷은 몰약과 침향과 육계의 향기가 있으며 상아궁에서 나오는 현악은 왕을 즐겁게 하도다
9왕이 가까이 하는 여인들 중에는 왕들의 딸이 있으며 왕후는 오빌의 금으로 꾸미고 왕의 오른쪽에 서도다
10딸이여 듣고 보고 귀를 기울일지어다 네 백성과 네 아버지의 집을 잊어버릴지어다
11그리하면 왕이 네 아름다움을 사모하실지라 그는 네 주인이시니 너는 그를 경배할지어다
12두로의 딸은 예물을 드리고 백성 중 부한 자도 네 얼굴 보기를 원하리로다
13왕의 딸은 궁중에서 모든 영화를 누리니 그의 옷은 금으로 수 놓았도다
14수 놓은 옷을 입은 그는 왕께로 인도함을 받으며 시종하는 친구 처녀들도 왕께로 이끌려 갈 것이라
15그들은 기쁨과 즐거움으로 인도함을 받고 왕궁에 들어가리로다
16왕의 아들들은 왕의 조상들을 계승할 것이라 왕이 그들로 온 세계의 군왕을 삼으리로다
17내가 왕의 이름을 만세에 기억하게 하리니 그러므로 만민이 왕을 영원히 찬송하리로다
