1My son, attend unto my wisdom; Incline thine ear to my understanding:

2That thou mayest preserve discretion, And that thy lips may keep knowledge.

3For the lips of a strange woman drop honey, And her mouth is smoother than oil:

4But in the end she is bitter as wormwood, Sharp as a two-edged sword.

5Her feet go down to death; Her steps take hold on Sheol;

6So that she findeth not the level path of life: Her ways are unstable, `and' she knoweth `it' not.

7Now therefore, `my' sons, hearken unto me, And depart not from the words of my mouth.

8Remove thy way far from her, And come not nigh the door of her house;

9Lest thou give thine honor unto others, And thy years unto the cruel;

10Lest strangers be filled with thy strength, And thy labors `be' in the house of an alien,

11And thou mourn at thy latter end, When thy flesh and thy body are consumed,

12And say, How have I hated instruction, And my heart despised reproof;

13Neither have I obeyed the voice of my teachers, Nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!

14I was well-nigh in all evil In the midst of the assembly and congregation.

15Drink waters out of thine own cistern, And running waters out of thine own well.

16Should thy springs be dispersed abroad, And streams of water in the streets?

17Let them be for thyself alone, And not for strangers with thee.

18Let thy fountain be blessed; And rejoice in the wife of thy youth.

19`As' a loving hind and a pleasant doe, Let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; And be thou ravished always with her love.

20For why shouldest thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, And embrace the bosom of a foreigner?

21For the ways of man are before the eyes of Jehovah; And he maketh level all his paths.

22His own iniquities shall take the wicked, And he shall be holden with the cords of his sin.

23He shall die for lack of instruction; And in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.

1내 아들아 내 지혜에 주의하며 내 명철에 네 귀를 기울여서

2근신을 지키며 네 입술로 지식을 지키도록 하라

3대저 음녀의 입술은 꿀을 떨어뜨리며 그의 입은 기름보다 미끄러우나

4나중은 쑥 같이 쓰고 두 날 가진 칼 같이 날카로우며

5그의 발은 사지로 내려가며 그의 걸음은 스올로 나아가나니

6그는 생명의 평탄한 길을 찾지 못하며 자기 길이 든든하지 못하여도 그것을 깨닫지 못하느니라

7그런즉 아들들아 나에게 들으며 내 입의 말을 버리지 말고

8네 길을 그에게서 멀리 하라 그의 집 문에도 가까이 가지 말라

9두렵건대 네 존영이 남에게 잃어버리게 되며 네 수한이 잔인한 자에게 빼앗기게 될까 하노라

10두렵건대 타인이 네 재물로 충족하게 되며 네 수고한 것이 외인의 집에 있게 될까 하노라

11두렵건대 마지막에 이르러 네 몸, 네 육체가 쇠약할 때에 네가 한탄하여

12말하기를 내가 어찌하여 훈계를 싫어하며 내 마음이 꾸지람을 가벼이 여기고

13내 선생의 목소리를 청종하지 아니하며 나를 가르치는 이에게 귀를 기울이지 아니하였던고

14많은 무리들이 모인 중에서 큰 악에 빠지게 되었노라 하게 될까 염려하노라

15너는 네 우물에서 물을 마시며 네 샘에서 흐르는 물을 마시라

16어찌하여 네 샘물을 집 밖으로 넘치게 하며 네 도랑물을 거리로 흘러가게 하겠느냐

17그 물이 네게만 있게 하고 타인과 더불어 그것을 나누지 말라

18네 샘으로 복되게 하라 네가 젊어서 취한 아내를 즐거워하라

19그는 사랑스러운 암사슴 같고 아름다운 암노루 같으니 너는 그의 품을 항상 족하게 여기며 그의 사랑을 항상 연모하라

20내 아들아 어찌하여 음녀를 연모하겠으며 어찌하여 이방 계집의 가슴을 안겠느냐

21대저 사람의 길은 여호와의 눈 앞에 있나니 그가 그 사람의 모든 길을 평탄하게 하시느니라

22악인은 자기의 악에 걸리며 그 죄의 줄에 매이나니

23그는 훈계를 받지 아니함으로 말미암아 죽겠고 심히 미련함으로 말미암아 혼미하게 되느느라

1The king shall joy in thy strength, O Jehovah; And in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

2Thou hast given him his heart's desire, And hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah

3For thou meetest him with the blessings of goodness: Thou settest a crown of fine gold on his head.

4He asked life of thee, thou gavest it him, Even length of days for ever and ever.

5His glory is great in thy salvation: Honor and majesty dost thou lay upon him.

6For thou makest him most blessed for ever: Thou makest him glad with joy in thy presence.

7For the king trusteth in Jehovah; And through the lovingkindness of the Most High he shall not be moved.

8Thy hand will find out all thine enemies; Thy right hand will find out those that hate thee.

9Thou wilt make them as a fiery furnace in the time of thine anger: Jehovah will swallow them up in his wrath, And the fire shall devour them.

10Their fruit wilt thou destroy from the earth, And their seed from among the children of men.

11For they intended evil against thee; They conceived a device which they are not able to perform.

12For thou wilt make them turn their back; Thou wilt make ready with thy bowstrings against their face.

1여호와여 왕이 주의 힘으로 말미암아 기뻐하며 주의 구원으로 말미암아 크게 즐거워하리이다

2그의 마음의 소원을 들어 주셨으며 그의 입술의 요구를 거절하지 아니하셨나이다 (셀라)

3주의 아름다운 복으로 그를 영접하시고 순금 관을 그의 머리에 씌우셨나이다

4그가 생명을 구하매 주께서 그에게 주셨으니 곧 영원한 장수로소이다

5주의 구원이 그의 영광을 크게 하시고 존귀와 위엄을 그에게 입히시나이다

6그가 영원토록 지극한 복을 받게 하시며 주 앞에서 기쁘고 즐겁게 하시나이다

7왕이 여호와를 의지하오니 지존하신 이의 인자함으로 흔들리지 아니하리이다

8왕의 손이 왕의 모든 원수들을 찾아냄이여 왕의 오른손이 왕을 미워하는 자들을 찾아내리로다

9왕이 노하실 때에 그들을 풀무불 같게 할 것이라 여호와께서 진노하사 그들을 삼키시리니 불이 그들을 소멸하리로다

10왕이 그들의 후손을 땅에서 멸함이여 그들의 자손을 사람 중에서 끊으리로다

11비록 그들이 왕을 해하려 하여 음모를 꾸몄으나 이루지 못하도다

12왕이 그들로 돌아서게 함이여 그들의 얼굴을 향하여 활시위를 당기리로다

13여호와여 주의 능력으로 높임을 받으소서 우리가 주의 권능을 노래하고 찬송하게 하소서

1My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? `Why art thou so' far from helping me, `and from' the words of my groaning?

2O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou answerest not; And in the night season, and am not silent.

3But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

4Our fathers trusted in thee: They trusted, and thou didst deliver them.

5They cried unto thee, and were delivered: They trusted in thee, and were not put to shame.

6But I am a worm, and no man; A reproach of men, and despised of the people.

7All they that see me laugh me to scorn: They shoot out the lip, they shake the head, `saying',

8Commit `thyself' unto Jehovah; Let him deliver him: Let him rescue him, seeing he delighteth in him.

9But thou art he that took me out of the womb; Thou didst make me trust `when I was' upon my mother's breasts.

10I was cast upon thee from the womb; Thou art my God since my mother bare me.

11Be not far from me; for trouble is near; For there is none to help.

12Many bulls have compassed me; Strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.

13They gape upon me with their mouth, `As' a ravening and a roaring lion.

14I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint: My heart is like wax; It is melted within me.

15My strength is dried up like a potsherd; And my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; And thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

16For dogs have compassed me: A company of evil-doers have inclosed me; They pierced my hands and my feet.

17I may count all my bones; They look and stare upon me.

18They part my garments among them, And upon my vesture do they cast lots.

19But be not thou far off, O Jehovah: O thou my succor, haste thee to help me.

20Deliver my soul from the sword, My darling from the power of the dog.

21Save me from the lion's mouth; Yea, from the horns of the wild-oxen thou hast answered me.

22I will declare thy name unto my brethren: In the midst of the assembly will I praise thee.

23Ye that fear Jehovah, praise him; All ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; And stand in awe of him, all ye the seed of Israel.

24For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Neither hath he hid his face from him; But when he cried unto him, he heard.

25Of thee cometh my praise in the great assembly: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

26The meek shall eat and be satisfied; They shall praise Jehovah that seek after him: Let your heart live for ever.

27All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn unto Jehovah; And all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

28For the kingdom is Jehovah's; And he is the ruler over the nations.

29All the fat ones of the earth shall eat and worship: All they that go down to the dust shall bow before him, Even he that cannot keep his soul alive.

30A seed shall serve him; It shall be told of the Lord unto the `next' generation.

1내 하나님이여 내 하나님이여 어찌 나를 버리셨나이까 어찌 나를 멀리하여 돕지 아니하시오며 내 신음 소리를 듣지 아니하시나이까

2내 하나님이여 내가 낮에도 부르짖고 밤에도 잠잠하지 아니하오나 응답하지 아니하시나이다

3이스라엘의 찬송 중에 계시는 주여 주는 거룩하시나이다

4우리 조상들이 주께 의뢰하고 의뢰하였으므로 그들을 건지셨나이다

8그가 여호와께 의탁하니 구원하실 걸, 그를 기뻐하시니 건지실 걸 하나이다

9오직 주께서 나를 모태에서 나오게 하시고 내 어머니의 젖을 먹을 때에 의지하게 하셨나이다

10내가 날 때부터 주께 맡긴 바 되었고 모태에서 나올 때부터 주는 나의 하나님이 되셨나이다

11나를 멀리 하지 마옵소서 환난이 가까우나 도울 자 없나이다

12많은 황소가 나를 에워싸며 바산의 힘센 소들이 나를 둘러쌌으며

13내게 그 입을 벌림이 찢으며 부르짖는 사자 같으니이다

14나는 물 같이 쏟아졌으며 내 모든 뼈는 어그러졌으며 내 마음은 밀랍 같아서 내 속에서 녹았으며

15내 힘이 말라 질그릇 조각 같고 내 혀가 입천장에 붙었나이다 주께서 또 나를 죽음의 진토 속에 두셨나이다

16개들이 나를 에워쌌으며 악한 무리가 나를 둘러 내 수족을 찔렀나이다

17내가 내 모든 뼈를 셀 수 있나이다 그들이 나를 주목하여 보고

18내 겉옷을 나누며 속옷을 제비뽑나이다

19여호와여 멀리하지 마옵소서 나의 힘이시여 속히 나를 도우소서

20내 생명을 칼에서 건지시며 내 유일한 것을 개의 세력에서 구하소서

21나를 사자의 입에서 구하소서 주께서 내게 응답하시고 들소의 뿔에서 구원하셨나이다

22내가 주의 이름을 형제에게 선포하고 회중 가운데에서 주를 찬송하리이다

23여호와를 두려워하는 너희여 그를 찬송할지어다 야곱의 모든 자손이여 그에게 영광을 돌릴지어다 너희 이스라엘 모든 자손이여 그를 경외할지어다

24그는 곤고한 자의 곤고를 멸시하거나 싫어하지 아니하시며 그의 얼굴을 그에게서 숨기지 아니하시고 그가 울부짖을 때에 들으셨도다

25큰 회중 가운데에서 나의 찬송은 주께로부터 온 것이니 주를 경외하는 자 앞에서 나의 서원을 갚으리이다

26겸손한 자는 먹고 배부를 것이며 여호와를 찾는 자는 그를 찬송할 것이라 너희 마음은 영원히 살지어다

27땅의 모든 끝이 여호와를 기억하고 돌아오며 모든 나라의 모든 족속이 주의 앞에 예배하리니

28나라는 여호와의 것이요 여호와는 모든 나라의 주재심이로다

29세상의 모든 풍성한 자가 먹고 경배할 것이요 진토 속으로 내려가는 자 곧 자기 영혼을 살리지 못할 자도 다 그 앞에 절하리로다

30후손이 그를 섬길 것이요 대대에 주를 전할 것이며

31와서 그의 공의를 태어날 백성에게 전함이여 주께서 이를 행하셨다 할 것이로다

1Jehovah is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside still waters.

3He restoreth my soul: He guideth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4Yea, thou I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.

5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou hast anointed my head with oil; My cup runneth over.

1여호와는 나의 목자시니 내게 부족함이 없으리로다

2그가 나를 푸른 풀밭에 누이시며 쉴 만한 물가로 인도하시는도다

3내 영혼을 소생시키시고 자기 이름을 위하여 의의 길로 인도하시는도다

4내가 사망의 음침한 골짜기로 다닐지라도 해를 두려워하지 않을 것은 주께서 나와 함께 하심이라 주의 지팡이와 막대기가 나를 안위하시나이다

5주께서 내 원수의 목전에서 내게 상을 차려 주시고 기름을 내 머리에 부으셨으니 내 잔이 넘치나이다

6내 평생에 선하심과 인자하심이 반드시 나를 따르리니 내가 여호와의 집에 영원히 살리로다

1The earth is Jehovah's, and the fulness thereof; The world, and they that dwell therein.

2For he hath founded it upon the seas, And established it upon the floods.

3Who shall ascend into the hill of Jehovah? And who shall stand in his holy place?

4He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; Who hath not lifted up his soul unto falsehood, And hath not sworn deceitfully.

5He shall receive a blessing from Jehovah, And righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6This is the generation of them that seek after him, That seek thy face, `even' Jacob. Selah

8Who is the King of glory? Jehovah strong and mighty, Jehovah mighty in battle.

1땅과 거기에 충만한 것과 세계와 그 가운데에 사는 자들은 다 여호와의 것이로다

2여호와께서 그 터를 바다 위에 세우심이여 강들 위에 건설하셨도다

3여호와의 산에 오를 자가 누구며 그의 거룩한 곳에 설 자가 누구인가

4곧 손이 깨끗하며 마음이 청결하며 뜻을 허탄한 데에 두지 아니하며 거짓 맹세하지 아니하는 자로다

1Unto thee, O Jehovah, do I lift up my soul.

2O my God, in thee have I trusted, Let me not be put to shame; Let not mine enemies triumph over me.

3Yea, none that wait for thee shall be put to shame: They shall be put to shame that deal treacherously without cause.

4Show me thy ways, O Jehovah; Teach me thy paths.

5Guide me in thy truth, and teach me; For thou art the God of my salvation; For thee do I wait all the day.

6Remember, O Jehovah, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindness; For they have been ever of old.

7Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: According to thy lovingkindness remember thou me, For thy goodness' sake, O Jehovah.

8Good and upright is Jehovah: Therefore will he instruct sinners in the way.

9The meek will he guide in justice; And the meek will he teach his way.

10All the paths of Jehovah are lovingkindness and truth Unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

11For thy name's sake, O Jehovah, Pardon mine iniquity, for it is great.

12What man is he that feareth Jehovah? Him shall he instruct in the way that he shall choose.

13His soul shall dwell at ease; And his seed shall inherit the land.

14The friendship of Jehovah is with them that fear him; And he will show them his covenant.

15Mine eyes are ever toward Jehovah; For he will pluck my feet out of the net.

16Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; For I am desolate and afflicted.

17The troubles of my heart are enlarged: Oh bring thou me out of my distresses.

18Consider mine affliction and my travail; And forgive all my sins.

19Consider mine enemies, for they are many; And they hate me with cruel hatred.

20Oh keep my soul, and deliver me: Let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in thee.

21Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, For I wait for thee.

1여호와여 나의 영혼이 주를 우러러보나이다

2나의 하나님이여 내가 주께 의지하였사오니 나를 부끄럽지 않게 하시고 나의 원수들이 나를 이겨 개가를 부르지 못하게 하소서

3주를 바라는 자들은 수치를 당하지 아니하려니와 까닭 없이 속이는 자들은 수치를 당하리이다

4여호와여 주의 도를 내게 보이시고 주의 길을 내게 가르치소서

5주의 진리로 나를 지도하시고 교훈하소서 주는 내 구원의 하나님이시니 내가 종일 주를 기다리나이다

6여호와여 주의 긍휼하심과 인자하심이 영원부터 있었사오니 주여 이것들을 기억하옵소서

7여호와여 내 젊은 시절의 죄와 허물을 기억하지 마시고 주의 인자하심을 따라 주께서 나를 기억하시되 주의 선하심으로 하옵소서

8여호와는 선하시고 정직하시니 그러므로 그의 도로 죄인들을 교훈하시리로다

9온유한 자를 정의로 지도하심이여 온유한 자에게 그의 도를 가르치시리로다

10여호와의 모든 길은 그의 언약과 증거를 지키는 자에게 인자와 진리로다

11여호와여 나의 죄악이 크오니 주의 이름으로 말미암아 사하소서

12여호와를 경외하는 자 누구냐 그가 택할 길을 그에게 가르치시리로다

13그의 영혼은 평안히 살고 그의 자손은 땅을 상속하리로다

14여호와의 친밀하심이 그를 경외하는 자들에게 있음이여 그의 언약을 그들에게 보이시리로다

15내 눈이 항상 여호와를 바라봄은 내 발을 그물에서 벗어나게 하실 것임이로다

16주여 나는 외롭고 괴로우니 내게 돌이키사 나에게 은혜를 베푸소서

17내 마음의 근심이 많사오니 나를 고난에서 끌어내소서

18나의 곤고와 환난을 보시고 내 모든 죄를 사하소서

19내 원수를 보소서 그들의 수가 많고 나를 심히 미워하나이다

20내 영혼을 지켜 나를 구원하소서 내가 주께 피하오니 수치를 당하지 않게 하소서

21내가 주를 바라오니 성실과 정직으로 나를 보호하소서

22하나님이여 이스라엘을 그 모든 환난에서 속량하소서
