1Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler; And whosoever erreth thereby is not wise.

2The terror of a king is as the roaring of a lion: He that provoketh him to anger sinneth `against' his own life.

3It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife; But every fool will be quarrelling.

4The sluggard will not plow by reason of the winter; Therefore he shall beg in harvest, and have nothing.

5Counsel in the heart of man is `like' deep water; But a man of understanding will draw it out.

6Most men will proclaim every one his own kindness; But a faithful man who can find?

7A righteous man that walketh in his integrity, Blessed are his children after him.

8A king that sitteth on the throne of judgment Scattereth away all evil with his eyes.

9Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?

10Diverse weights, and diverse measures, Both of them alike are an abomination to Jehovah.

11Even a child maketh himself known by his doings, Whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.

12The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, Jehovah hath made even both of them.

13Love not sleep, let thou come to poverty; Open thine eyes, `and' thou shalt be satisfied with bread.

14It is bad, it is bad, saith the buyer; But when he is gone his way, then he boasteth.

15There is gold, and abundance of rubies; But the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.

16Take his garment that is surety for a stranger; And hold him in pledge `that is surety' for foreigners.

17Bread of falsehood is sweet to a man; But afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.

18Every purpose is established by counsel; And by wise guidance make thou war.

19He that goeth about as a tale-bearer revealeth secrets; Therefore company not with him that openeth wide his lips.

20Whoso curseth his father or his mother, His lamp shall be put out in blackness of darkness.

21An inheritance `may be' gotten hastily at the beginning; But the end thereof shall not be blessed.

22Say not thou, I will recompense evil: Wait for Jehovah, and he will save thee.

23Diverse weights are an abomination to Jehovah; And a false balance is not good.

24A man's goings are of Jehovah; How then can man understand his way?

25It is a snare to a man rashly to say, `It is' holy, And after vows to make inquiry.

26A wise king winnoweth the wicked, And bringeth the `threshing' -wheel over them.

27The spirit of man is the lamp of Jehovah, Searching all his innermost parts.

28Kindness and truth preserve the king; And his throne is upholden by kindness.

29The glory of young men is their strength; And the beauty of old men is the hoary head.

30Stripes that wound cleanse away evil; And strokes `reach' the innermost parts.

1포도주는 거만하게 하는 것이요 독주는 떠들게 하는 것이라 이에 미혹되는 자마다 지혜가 없느니라

2왕의 진노는 사자의 부르짖음 같으니 그를 노하게 하는 것은 자기의 생명을 해하는 것이니라

3다툼을 멀리 하는 것이 사람에게 영광이거늘 미련한 자마다 다툼을 일으키느니라

4게으른 자는 가을에 밭 갈지 아니하나니 그러므로 거둘 때에는 구걸할지라도 얻지 못하리라

5사람의 마음에 있는 모략은 깊은 물 같으니라 그럴지라도 명철한 사람은 그것을 길어 내느니라

6많은 사람이 각기 자기의 인자함을 자랑하나니 충성된 자를 누가 만날 수 있으랴

7온전하게 행하는 자가 의인이라 그의 후손에게 복이 있느니라

8심판 자리에 앉은 왕은 그의 눈으로 모든 악을 흩어지게 하느니라

9내가 내 마음을 정하게 하였다 내 죄를 깨끗하게 하였다 할 자가 누구냐

10한결같지 않은 저울 추와 한결같지 않은 되는 다 여호와께서 미워하시느니라

11비록 아이라도 자기의 동작으로 자기 품행이 청결한 여부와 정직한 여부를 나타내느니라

12듣는 귀와 보는 눈은 다 여호와께서 지으신 것이니라

13너는 잠자기를 좋아하지 말라 네가 빈궁하게 될까 두려우니라 네 눈을 뜨라 그리하면 양식이 족하리라

14물건을 사는 자가 좋지 못하다 좋지 못하다 하다가 돌아간 후에는 자랑하느니라

15세상에 금도 있고 진주도 많거니와 지혜로운 입술이 더욱 귀한 보배니라

16타인을 위하여 보증 선 자의 옷을 취하라 외인들을 위하여 보증 선 자는 그의 몸을 볼모 잡을지니라

17속이고 취한 음식물은 사람에게 맛이 좋은 듯하나 후에는 그의 입에 모래가 가득하게 되리라

18경영은 의논함으로 성취하나니 지략을 베풀고 전쟁할지니라

19두루 다니며 한담하는 자는 남의 비밀을 누설하나니 입술을 벌린 자를 사귀지 말지니라

20자기의 아비나 어미를 저주하는 자는 그의 등불이 흑암 중에 꺼짐을 당하리라

21처음에 속히 잡은 산업은 마침내 복이 되지 아니하느니라

22너는 악을 갚겠다 말하지 말고 여호와를 기다리라 그가 너를 구원하시리라

23한결같지 않은 저울 추는 여호와께서 미워하시는 것이요 속이는 저울은 좋지 못한 것이니라

24사람의 걸음은 여호와로 말미암나니 사람이 어찌 자기의 길을 알 수 있으랴

25함부로 이 물건은 거룩하다 하여 서원하고 그 후에 살피면 그것이 그 사람에게 덫이 되느니라

26지혜로운 왕은 악인들을 키질하며 타작하는 바퀴를 그들 위에 굴리느니라

27사람의 영혼은 여호와의 등불이라 사람의 깊은 속을 살피느니라

28왕은 인자와 진리로 스스로 보호하고 그의 왕위도 인자함으로 말미암아 견고하니라

29젊은 자의 영화는 그의 힘이요 늙은 자의 아름다움은 백발이니라

30상하게 때리는 것이 악을 없이하나니 매는 사람 속에 깊이 들어가느니라

1Oh sing unto Jehovah a new song: Sing unto Jehovah, all the earth.

2Sing unto Jehovah, bless his name; Show forth his salvation from day to day.

3Declare his glory among the nations, His marvellous works among all the peoples.

4For great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised: He is to be feared above all gods.

5For all the gods of the peoples are idols; But Jehovah made the heavens.

6Honor and majesty are before him: Strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

7Ascribe unto Jehovah, ye kindreds of the peoples, Ascribe unto Jehovah glory and strength.

8Ascribe unto Jehovah the glory due unto his name: Bring an offering, and come into his courts.

9Oh worship Jehovah in holy array: Tremble before him, all the earth.

10Say among the nations, Jehovah reigneth: The world also is established that it cannot be moved: He will judge the peoples with equity.

11Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof;

12Let the field exult, and all that is therein; Then shall all the trees of the wood sing for joy

13Before Jehovah; for he cometh, For he cometh to judge the earth: He will judge the world with righteousness, And the peoples with his truth.

1새 노래로 여호와께 노래하라 온 땅이여 여호와께 노래할지어다

2여호와께 노래하여 그의 이름을 송축하며 그의 구원을 날마다 전파할지어다

3그의 영광을 백성들 가운데에, 그의 기이한 행적을 만민 가운데에 선포할지어다

4여호와는 위대하시니 지극히 찬양할 것이요 모든 신들보다 경외할 것임이여

5만국의 모든 신들은 우상들이지만 여호와께서는 하늘을 지으셨음이로다

6존귀와 위엄이 그의 앞에 있으며 능력과 아름다움이 그의 성소에 있도다

7만국의 족속들아 영광과 권능을 여호와께 돌릴지어다 여호와께 돌릴지어다

8여호와의 이름에 합당한 영광을 그에게 돌릴지어다 예물을 들고 그의 궁정에 들어갈지어다

9아름답고 거룩한 것으로 여호와께 예배할지어다 온 땅이여 그 앞에서 떨지어다

10모든 나라 가운데서 이르기를 여호와께서 다스리시니 세계가 굳게 서고 흔들리지 않으리라 그가 만민을 공평하게 심판하시리라 할지로다

11하늘은 기뻐하고 땅은 즐거워하며 바다와 거기에 충만한 것이 외치고

12밭과 그 가운데에 있는 모든 것은 즐거워할지로다 그 때 숲의 모든 나무들이 여호와 앞에서 즐거이 노래하리니

13그가 임하시되 땅을 심판하러 임하실 것임이라 그가 의로 세계를 심판하시며 그의 진실하심으로 백성을 심판하시리로다

1Jehovah reigneth; let the earth rejoice; Let the multitude of isles be glad.

2Clouds and darkness are round about him: Righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.

3A fire goeth before him, And burneth up his adversaries round about.

4His lightnings lightened the world: The earth saw, and trembled.

5The mountains melted like wax at the presence of Jehovah, At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

6The heavens declare his righteousness, And all the peoples have seen his glory.

7Let all them be put to shame that serve graven images, That boast themselves of idols: Worship him, all ye gods.

8Zion heard and was glad, And the daughters of Judah rejoiced, Because of thy judgments, O Jehovah.

9For thou, Jehovah, art most high above all the earth: Thou art exalted far above all gods.

10O ye that love Jehovah, hate evil: He preserveth the souls of his saints; He delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

11Light is sown for the righteous, And gladness for the upright in heart.

12Be glad in Jehovah, ye righteous; And give thanks to his holy memorial `name'. Psalm 98 A Psalm.

1여호와께서 다스리시나니 땅은 즐거워하며 허다한 섬은 기뻐할지어다

2구름과 흑암이 그를 둘렀고 공의와 정의가 그의 보좌의 기초로다

3불이 그의 앞에서 나와 사방의 대적들을 불사르시는도다

4그의 번개가 세계를 비추니 땅이 보고 떨었도다

5산들이 여호와의 앞 곧 온 땅의 주 앞에서 밀랍 같이 녹았도다

6하늘이 그의 의를 선포하니 모든 백성이 그의 영광을 보았도다

7조각한 신상을 섬기며 허무한 것으로 자랑하는 자는 다 수치를 당할 것이라 너희 신들아 여호와께 경배할지어다

8여호와여 시온이 주의 심판을 듣고 기뻐하며 유다의 딸들이 즐거워하였나이다

9여호와여 주는 온 땅 위에 지존하시고 모든 신들보다 위에 계시니이다

10여호와를 사랑하는 너희여 악을 미워하라 그가 그의 성도의 영혼을 보전하사 악인의 손에서 건지시느니라

11의인을 위하여 빛을 뿌리고 마음이 정직한 자를 위하여 기쁨을 뿌리시는도다

12의인이여 너희는 여호와로 말미암아 기뻐하며 그의 거룩한 이름에 감사할지어다

1Oh sing unto Jehovah a new song; For he hath done marvellous things: His right hand, and his holy arm, hath wrought salvation for him.

2Jehovah hath made known his salvation: His righteousness hath he openly showed in the sight of the nations.

3He hath remembered his lovingkindness and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel: All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

4Make a joyful noise unto Jehovah, all the earth: Break forth and sing for joy, yea, sing praises.

5Sing praises unto Jehovah with the harp; With the harp and the voice of melody.

6With trumpets and sound of cornet Make a joyful noise before the King, Jehovah.

7Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; The world, and they that dwell therein;

8Let the floods clap their hands; Let the hills sing for joy together

9Before Jehovah; for he cometh to judge the earth: He will judge the world with righteousness, And the peoples with equity.

1새 노래로 여호와께 찬송하라 그는 기이한 일을 행하사 그의 오른손과 거룩한 팔로 자기를 위하여 구원을 베푸셨음이로다

2여호와께서 그의 구원을 알게 하시며 그의 공의를 뭇 나라의 목전에서 명백히 나타내셨도다

3그가 이스라엘의 집에 베푸신 인자와 성실을 기억하셨으므로 땅 끝까지 이르는 모든 것이 우리 하나님의 구원을 보았도다

4온 땅이여 여호와께 즐거이 소리칠지어다 소리 내어 즐겁게 노래하며 찬송할지어다

5수금으로 여호와를 노래하라 수금과 음성으로 노래할지어다

6나팔과 호각 소리로 왕이신 여호와 앞에 즐겁게 소리칠지어다

7바다와 거기 충만한 것과 세계와 그 중에 거주하는 자는 다 외칠지어다

8여호와 앞에서 큰 물은 박수할지어다 산악이 함께 즐겁게 노래할지어다

9그가 땅을 심판하러 임하실 것임이로다 그가 의로 세계를 판단하시며 공평으로 그의 백성을 심판하시리로다

1Jehovah reigneth; let the peoples tremble: He sitteth `above' the cherubim; let the earth be moved.

2Jehovah is great in Zion; And he is high above all the peoples.

3Let them praise thy great and terrible name: Holy is he.

4The king's strength also loveth justice; Thou dost establish equity; Thou executest justice and righteousness in Jacob.

5Exalt ye Jehovah our God, And worship at his footstool: Holy is he.

6Moses and Aaron among his priests, And Samuel among them that call upon his name; They called upon Jehovah, and he answered them.

7He spake unto them in the pillar of cloud: They kept his testimonies, And the statute that he gave them.

8Thou answeredst them, O Jehovah our God: Thou wast a God that forgavest them, Though thou tookest vengeance of their doings.

9Exalt ye Jehovah our God, And worship at his holy hill; For Jehovah our God is holy. Psalm 100 A Psalm of thanksgiving.

1여호와께서 다스리시니 만민이 떨 것이요 여호와께서 그룹 사이에 좌정하시니 땅이 흔들릴 것이로다

2시온에 계시는 여호와는 위대하시고 모든 민족보다 높으시도다

3주의 크고 두려운 이름을 찬송할지니 그는 거룩하심이로다

4능력 있는 왕은 정의를 사랑하느니라 주께서 공의를 견고하게 세우시고 주께서 야곱에게 정의와 공의를 행하시나이다

5너희는 여호와 우리 하나님을 높여 그의 발등상 앞에서 경배할지어다 그는 거룩하시도다

6그의 제사장들 중에는 모세와 아론이 있고 그의 이름을 부르는 자들 중에는 사무엘이 있도다 그들이 여호와께 간구하매 응답하셨도다

7여호와께서 구름 기둥 가운데서 그들에게 말씀하시니 그들은 그가 그들에게 주신 증거와 율례를 지켰도다

1Make a joyful noise unto Jehovah, all ye lands.

2Serve Jehovah with gladness: Come before his presence with singing.

3Know ye that Jehovah, he is God: It is he that hath made us, and we are his; We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

4Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, And into his courts with praise: Give thanks unto him, and bless his name.

5For Jehovah is good; his lovingkindness `endureth' for ever, And his faithfulness unto all generations. Psalm 101 A Psalm of David.

1온 땅이여 여호와께 즐거운 찬송을 부를지어다

2기쁨으로 여호와를 섬기며 노래하면서 그의 앞에 나아갈지어다

3여호와가 우리 하나님이신 줄 너희는 알지어다 그는 우리를 지으신 이요 우리는 그의 것이니 그의 백성이요 그의 기르시는 양이로다

4감사함으로 그의 문에 들어가며 찬송함으로 그의 궁정에 들어가서 그에게 감사하며 그의 이름을 송축할지어다
