1The words of Agur the son of Jakeh; The oracle. The man saith unto Ithiel, unto Ithiel and Ucal:

2Surely I am more brutish than any man, And have not the understanding of a man;

3And I have not learned wisdom, Neither have I the knowledge of the Holy One.

4Who hath ascended up into heaven, and descended? Who hath gathered the wind in his fists? Who hath bound the waters in his garment? Who hath established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou knowest?

5Every word of God is tried: He is a shield unto them that take refuge in him.

6Add thou not unto his words, Lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

7Two things have I asked of thee; Deny me `them' not before I die:

8Remove far from me falsehood and lies; Give me neither poverty nor riches; Feed me with the food that is needful for me:

9Lest I be full, and deny `thee', and say, Who is Jehovah? Or lest I be poor, and steal, And use profanely the name of my God.

10Slander not a servant unto his master, Lest he curse thee, and thou be held guilty.

11There is a generation that curse their father, And bless not their mother.

12There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, And `yet' are not washed from their filthiness.

13There is a generation, oh how lofty are their eyes! And their eyelids are lifted up.

14There is a generation whose teeth are `as' swords, and their jaw teeth `as' knives, To devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.

15The horseleach hath two daughters, `crying', Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, `Yea', four that say not, Enough:

16Sheol; and the barren womb; The earth that is not satisfied with water; And the fire that saith not, Enough.

17The eye that mocketh at his father, And despiseth to obey his mother, The ravens of the valley shall pick it out, And the young eagles shall eat it.

18There are three things which are too wonderful for me, Yea, four which I know not:

19The way of an eagle in the air; The way of a serpent upon a rock; The way of a ship in the midst of the sea; And the way of a man with a maiden.

20So is the way of an adulterous woman; She eateth, and wipeth her mouth, And saith, I have done no wickedness.

21For three things the earth doth tremble, And for four, `which' it cannot bear:

22For a servant when he is king; And a fool when he is filled with food;

23For an odious woman when she is married; And a handmaid that is heir to her mistress.

24There are four things which are little upon the earth, But they are exceeding wise:

25The ants are a people not strong, Yet they provide their food in the summer;

26The conies are but a feeble folk, Yet make they their houses in the rocks;

27The locusts have no king, Yet go they forth all of them by bands;

28The lizard taketh hold with her hands, Yet is she in kings' palaces.

29There are three things which are stately in their march, Yea, four which are stately in going:

30The lion, which is mightiest among beasts, And turneth not away for any;

31The greyhound; the he-goat also; And the king against whom there is no rising up.

32If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself, Or if thou hast thought evil, `Lay' thy hand upon thy mouth.

33For the churning of milk bringeth forth butter, And the wringing of the nose bringeth forth blood; So the forcing of wrath bringeth forth strife.

1이 말씀은 야게의 아들 아굴의 잠언이니 그가 이디엘 곧 이디엘과 우갈에게 이른 것이니라

2나는 다른 사람에게 비하면 짐승이라 내게는 사람의 총명이 있지 아니하니라

3나는 지혜를 배우지 못하였고 또 거룩하신 자를 아는 지식이 없거니와

4하늘에 올라갔다가 내려온 자가 누구인지, 바람을 그 장중에 모은 자가 누구인지, 물을 옷에 싼 자가 누구인지, 땅의 모든 끝을 정한 자가 누구인지, 그의 이름이 무엇인지, 그의 아들의 이름이 무엇인지 너는 아느냐

5하나님의 말씀은 다 순전하며 하나님은 그를 의지하는 자의 방패시니라

6너는 그의 말씀에 더하지 말라 그가 너를 책망하시겠고 너는 거짓말하는 자가 될까 두려우니라

7내가 두 가지 일을 주께 구하였사오니 내가 죽기 전에 내게 거절하지 마시옵소서

8곧 헛된 것과 거짓말을 내게서 멀리 하옵시며 나를 가난하게도 마옵시고 부하게도 마옵시고 오직 필요한 양식으로 나를 먹이시옵소서

9혹 내가 배불러서 하나님을 모른다 여호와가 누구냐 할까 하오며 혹 내가 가난하여 도둑질하고 내 하나님의 이름을 욕되게 할까 두려워함이니이다

10너는 종을 그의 상전에게 비방하지 말라 그가 너를 저주하겠고 너는 죄책을 당할까 두려우니라

11아비를 저주하며 어미를 축복하지 아니하는 무리가 있느니라

12스스로 깨끗한 자로 여기면서도 자기의 더러운 것을 씻지 아니하는 무리가 있느니라

13눈이 심히 높으며 눈꺼풀이 높이 들린 무리가 있느니라

14앞니는 장검 같고 어금니는 군도 같아서 가난한 자를 땅에서 삼키며 궁핍한 자를 사람 중에서 삼키는 무리가 있느니라

15거머리에게는 두 딸이 있어 다오 다오 하느니라 족한 줄을 알지 못하여 족하다 하지 아니하는 것 서넛이 있나니

16곧 스올과 아이 배지 못하는 태와 물로 채울 수 없는 땅과 족하다 하지 아니하는 불이니라

17아비를 조롱하며 어미 순종하기를 싫어하는 자의 눈은 골짜기의 까마귀에게 쪼이고 독수리 새끼에게 먹히리라

18내가 심히 기이히 여기고도 깨닫지 못하는 것 서넛이 있나니

19곧 공중에 날아다니는 독수리의 자취와 반석 위로 기어 다니는 뱀의 자취와 바다로 지나다니는 배의 자취와 남자가 여자와 함께 한 자취며

20음녀의 자취도 그러하니라 그가 먹고 그의 입을 씻음 같이 말하기를 내가 악을 행하지 아니하였다 하느니라

21세상을 진동시키며 세상이 견딜 수 없게 하는 것 서넛이 있나니

22곧 종이 임금된 것과 미련한 자가 음식으로 배부른 것과

23미움 받는 여자가 시집 간 것과 여종이 주모를 이은 것이니라

24땅에 작고도 가장 지혜로운 것 넷이 있나니

25곧 힘이 없는 종류로되 먹을 것을 여름에 준비하는 개미와

26약한 종류로되 집을 바위 사이에 짓는 사반과

27임금이 없으되 다 떼를 지어 나아가는 메뚜기와

28손에 잡힐 만하여도 왕궁에 있는 도마뱀이니라

29잘 걸으며 위풍 있게 다니는 것 서넛이 있나니

30곧 짐승 중에 가장 강하여 아무 짐승 앞에서도 물러가지 아니하는 사자와

31사냥개와 숫염소와 및 당할 수 없는 왕이니라

32만일 네가 미련하여 스스로 높은 체하였거나 혹 악한 일을 도모하였거든 네 손으로 입을 막으라

33대저 젖을 저으면 엉긴 젖이 되고 코를 비틀면 피가 나는 것 같이 노를 격동하면 다툼이 남이니라

1Praise ye Jehovah. Praise Jehovah, O my soul.

2While I live will I praise Jehovah: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.

3Put not your trust in princes, Nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.

4His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; In that very day his thoughts perish.

5Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in Jehovah his God:

6Who made heaven and earth, The sea, and all that in them is; Who keepeth truth for ever;

7Who executeth justice for the oppressed; Who giveth food to the hungry. Jehovah looseth the prisoners;

8Jehovah openeth `the eyes of' the blind; Jehovah raiseth up them that are bowed down; Jehovah loveth the righteous;

9Jehovah preserveth the sojourners; He upholdeth the fatherless and widow; But the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.

10Jehovah will reign for ever, Thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye Jehovah.

1할렐루야 내 영혼아 여호와를 찬양하라

2나의 생전에 여호와를 찬양하며 나의 평생에 내 하나님을 찬송하리로다

3귀인들을 의지하지 말며 도울 힘이 없는 인생도 의지하지 말지니

4그의 호흡이 끊어지면 흙으로 돌아가서 그 날에 그의 생각이 소멸하리로다

5야곱의 하나님을 자기의 도움으로 삼으며 여호와 자기 하나님에게 자기의 소망을 두는 자는 복이 있도다

6여호와는 천지와 바다와 그 중의 만물을 지으시며 영원히 진실함을 지키시며

7억눌린 사람들을 위해 정의로 심판하시며 주린 자들에게 먹을 것을 주시는 이시로다 여호와께서는 갇힌 자들에게 자유를 주시는도다

8여호와께서 맹인들의 눈을 여시며 여호와께서 비굴한 자들을 일으키시며 여호와께서 의인들을 사랑하시며

9여호와께서 나그네들을 보호하시며 고아와 과부를 붙드시고 악인들의 길은 굽게 하시는도다

10시온아 여호와는 영원히 다스리시고 네 하나님은 대대로 통치하시리로다 할렐루야

1Praise ye Jehovah; For it is good to sing praises unto our God; For it is pleasant, `and' praise is comely.

2Jehovah doth build up Jerusalem; He gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.

3He healeth the broken in heart, And bindeth up their wounds.

4He counteth the number of the stars; He calleth them all by `their' names.

5Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.

6Jehovah upholdeth the meek: He bringeth the wicked down to the ground.

7Sing unto Jehovah with thanksgiving; Sing praises upon the harp unto our God,

8Who covereth the heavens with clouds, Who prepareth rain for the earth, Who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.

9He giveth to the beast his food, `And' to the young ravens which cry.

10He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: He taketh no pleasure in the legs of a man.

11Jehovah taketh pleasure in them that fear him, In those that hope in his lovingkindness.

12Praise Jehovah, O Jerusalem; Praise thy God, O Zion.

13For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; He hath blessed thy children within thee.

14He maketh peace in thy borders; He filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.

15He sendeth out his commandment upon earth; His word runneth very swiftly.

16He giveth snow like wool; He scattereth the hoar-frost like ashes.

17He casteth forth his ice like morsels: Who can stand before his cold?

18He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: He causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.

19He showeth his word unto Jacob, His statutes and his ordinances unto Israel.

20He hath not dealt so with any nation; And as for his ordinances, they have not known them. Praise ye Jehovah.

1할렐루야 우리 하나님을 찬양하는 일이 선함이여 찬송하는 일이 아름답고 마땅하도다

2여호와께서 예루살렘을 세우시며 이스라엘의 흩어진 자들을 모으시며

3상심한 자들을 고치시며 그들의 상처를 싸매시는도다

4그가 별들의 수효를 세시고 그것들을 다 이름대로 부르시는도다

5우리 주는 위대하시며 능력이 많으시며 그의 지혜가 무궁하시도다

6여호와께서 겸손한 자들은 붙드시고 악인들은 땅에 엎드러뜨리시는도다

7감사함으로 여호와께 노래하며 수금으로 하나님께 찬양할지어다

8그가 구름으로 하늘을 덮으시며 땅을 위하여 비를 준비하시며 산에 풀이 자라게 하시며

9들짐승과 우는 까마귀 새끼에게 먹을 것을 주시는도다

10여호와는 말의 힘이 세다 하여 기뻐하지 아니하시며 사람의 다리가 억세다 하여 기뻐하지 아니하시고

11여호와는 자기를 경외하는 자들과 그의 인자하심을 바라는 자들을 기뻐하시는도다

12예루살렘아 여호와를 찬송할지어다 시온아 네 하나님을 찬양할지어다

13그가 네 문빗장을 견고히 하시고 네 가운데에 있는 너의 자녀들에게 복을 주셨으며

14네 경내를 평안하게 하시고 아름다운 밀로 너를 배불리시며

15그의 명령을 땅에 보내시니 그의 말씀이 속히 달리는도다

16눈을 양털 같이 내리시며 서리를 재 같이 흩으시며

17우박을 떡 부스러기 같이 뿌리시나니 누가 능히 그의 추위를 감당하리요

18그의 말씀을 보내사 그것들을 녹이시고 바람을 불게 하신즉 물이 흐르는도다

19그가 그의 말씀을 야곱에게 보이시며 그의 율례와 규례를 이스라엘에게 보이시는도다

20그는 어느 민족에게도 이와 같이 행하지 아니하셨나니 그들은 그의 법도를 알지 못하였도다 할렐루야

1Praise ye Jehovah. Praise ye Jehovah from the heavens: Praise him in the heights.

2Praise ye him, all his angels: Praise ye him, all his host.

3Praise ye him, sun and moon: Praise him, all ye stars of light.

4Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, And ye waters that are above the heavens.

5Let them praise the name of Jehovah; For he commanded, and they were created.

6He hath also established them for ever and ever: He hath made a decree which shall not pass away.

7Praise Jehovah from the earth, Ye sea-monsters, and all deeps.

8Fire and hail, snow and vapor; Stormy wind, fulfilling his word;

9Mountains and all hills; Fruitful trees and all cedars;

10Beasts and all cattle; Creeping things and flying birds;

11Kings of the earth and all peoples; Princes and all judges of the earth;

12Both young men and virgins; Old men and children:

13Let them praise the name of Jehovah; For his name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and the heavens.

14And he hath lifted up the horn of his people, The praise of all his saints; Even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye Jehovah.

1할렐루야 하늘에서 여호와를 찬양하며 높은 데서 그를 찬양할지어다

2그의 모든 천사여 찬양하며 모든 군대여 그를 찬양할지어다

3해와 달아 그를 찬양하며 밝은 별들아 다 그를 찬양할지어다

4하늘의 하늘도 그를 찬양하며 하늘 위에 있는 물들도 그를 찬양할지어다

5그것들이 여호와의 이름을 찬양함은 그가 명령하시므로 지음을 받았음이로다

6그가 또 그것들을 영원히 세우시고 폐하지 못할 명령을 정하셨도다

7너희 용들과 바다여 땅에서 여호와를 찬양하라

8불과 우박과 눈과 안개와 그의 말씀을 따르는 광풍이며

9산들과 모든 작은 산과 과수와 모든 백향목이며

10짐승과 모든 가축과 기는 것과 나는 새며

11세상의 왕들과 모든 백성들과 고관들과 땅의 모든 재판관들이며

12총각과 처녀와 노인과 아이들아

13여호와의 이름을 찬양할지어다 그의 이름이 홀로 높으시며 그의 영광이 땅과 하늘 위에 뛰어나심이로다

14그가 그의 백성의 뿔을 높이셨으니 그는 모든 성도 곧 그를 가까이 하는 백성 이스라엘 자손의 찬양 받을 이시로다 할렐루야

1Praise ye Jehovah. Sing unto Jehovah a new song, And his praise in the assembly of the saints.

2Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

3Let them praise his name in the dance: Let them sing praises unto him with timbrel and harp.

4For Jehovah taketh pleasure in his people: He will beautify the meek with salvation.

5Let the saints exult in glory: Let them sing for joy upon their beds.

6`Let' the high praises of God `be' in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand;

7To execute vengeance upon the nations, And punishments upon the peoples;

8To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron;

9To execute upon them the judgment written: This honor have all his saints. Praise ye Jehovah.

1할렐루야 새 노래로 여호와께 노래하며 성도의 모임 가운데에서 찬양할지어다

2이스라엘은 자기를 지으신 이로 말미암아 즐거워하며 시온의 주민은 그들의 왕으로 말미암아 즐거워할지어다

3춤 추며 그의 이름을 찬양하며 소고와 수금으로 그를 찬양할지어다

4여호와께서는 자기 백성을 기뻐하시며 겸손한 자를 구원으로 아름답게 하심이로다

5성도들은 영광 중에 즐거워하며 그들의 침상에서 기쁨으로 노래할지어다

6그들의 입에는 하나님에 대한 찬양이 있고 그들의 손에는 두 날 가진 칼이 있도다

7이것으로 뭇 나라에 보수하며 민족들을 벌하며

8그들의 왕들은 사슬로, 그들의 귀인은 철고랑으로 결박하고

9기록한 판결대로 그들에게 시행할지로다 이런 영광은 그의 모든 성도에게 있도다 할렐루야

1Praise ye Jehovah. Praise God in his sanctuary: Praise him in the firmament of his power.

2Praise him for his mighty acts: Praise him according to his excellent greatness.

3Praise him with trumpet sound: Praise him with psaltery and harp.

4Praise him with timbrel and dance: Praise him with stringed instruments and pipe.

5Praise him with loud cymbals: Praise him with high sounding cymbals.

6Let everything that hath breath praise Jehovah. Praise ye Jehovah.

1할렐루야 그의 성소에서 하나님을 찬양하며 그의 권능의 궁창에서 그를 찬양할지어다

2그의 능하신 행동을 찬양하며 그의 지극히 위대하심을 따라 찬양할지어다

3나팔 소리로 찬양하며 비파와 수금으로 찬양할지어다

4소고 치며 춤 추어 찬양하며 현악과 퉁소로 찬양할지어다

5큰 소리 나는 제금으로 찬양하며 높은 소리 나는 제금으로 찬양할지어다

6호흡이 있는 자마다 여호와를 찬양할지어다 할렐루야
